Easily the best sushi restaurant I’ve been to yet. Friendly staff, clean dining area and bathroom, reasonable prices and wait time, and just great sushi! The menu is extremely extensive, it’s almost overwhelming in a good way due to all of the options!! Everything around us was cozy and the food others ordered looked great, as well. Would definitely recommend coming if you like sushi or other Asian cuisine.
One of the most authentic poke bowls I have ever tried! Comparable to Hawaii’s! The rice is amazingly soft and chewy! Salmon fresh. Tempura is authentic too! Even though the wrapper and plates look American. Will frequent here very often! Very economic too!
Fabulous, authentic sushi in Ann Arbor. A small, cozy, cute place, great for a first date. The sushi was very fresh with the rice at perfect temperature and artfully done.The Orange Ceviche appetizer is enough for two and it's wonderful. We also shared a pot of lovely Citron Tea. Amazing!!!!!! Will be returning! Everything was delicious! Staff super friendly! Ordered sweet potato tempura, vegetarian mango roll, cucumbers and soft shell crab roll. They had so many vegetarian and vegan roll options including special rolls!!!
As a sushi enthusiast I felt like I had it figured out but today was my first visit to this establishment and it shot to the top of my charts. The food came out fast the quality of the salmon in my salmon/avacado/cucumber roll was beyond compare. All I can say is... WW!! Thank you! Note: Rolls came with 8 pieces each but I'd started eating before thinking to get a pic
Twenty plus years of eating sushi all over America and the fish quality here is as good as it gets. First time here and cannot wait to get back. Awesome fun atmosphere. Friendly, proper table mannered staff.
This is the best sushi I’ve had in ages. The poke bowl had sooo much yummy stuff in it, not a ton of rice like most places I’ve had them. Highly recommend!!!
I'm a big sushi lover, and I recently tried Kanbu sushi for the first time. I was so impressed with their delicious and quality rolls! I have celiac disease and was so excited to find they had a gluten free menu, and the waitress assured me everything would be prepared safely for me. There were also vegetarian options as well. I tried the ginger tea, which was some of the best tea I've ever had and will definitely be ordering that again! The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was very welcoming, and there is plenty of seating area. If you are looking for good sushi in Ann Arbor, definitely check out Kanubu downtown!
Tasty food, fast and attentive service, the place has a nice atmosphere and it’s in a nice location to go out for a walk after you’re done ratings I got the seaweed salad, San Francisco roll and a Philadelphia roll. Wouldn’t mind coming back for a other light and efficient lunch.
Environment, service, decor, food quality are great! Black squid is crispy and juicy. Spicy Seafood Ramen is a bit spicy for me, but it comes with many seafood and the ramen tastes like handmade, I like it. Pork Katsu Don is nice, the meat could be more loose and soft. Overall, it’s a great experience!
