The Friends of the Grass Lake Church has completed their Work on the Restoration of the Historic Landmark
Built in 1898 the Grass Lake Mission church is the last remaining building of the original town of Grass Lake established in 1883. The town consisted of several businesses, two churches and the Edison School. The town began to die out when bypassed by the railroad. The church sat idle since the 1960’s, until the Friends of the Grass Lake Church was formed and began to restore the structure. The building now owned by the Kanabec History Center, is available for rental.
