We came because the reviews for this place has been amazing. Well we’re so glad we checked this bakery out! The baklava was so so good!!! We enjoy the sesame cake too. We regretted only getting a few baklava we had to fight to get the last piece, but we for sure will return for more. We got some freebies from the sweetest kindest owner too. So happy that they open in our neighborhood! Thank you, Kamo Bakery
Amazing bakery with extra friendly service. All the 5 star reviews are right: A MUST try when you are in the neighbourhood. We brought several pastries, they are all delicious. My mom tried the Samoom. She loved it. We came on a Monday at 5:30pm. There is free parking right in front of the store. PLUS their pastries are by weight instead of per piece. Overall, I love this bakery & will come again.
Check out this family owned place for an authentic Middle Eastern Experience! I'm legitimately impressed at how welcoming the owner is and passionate about sharing his recipes with the rest of the world. Extremely delicious handcrafted kwlaicha. Their Baklava had a unique taste, It's sweet but not overly sweet like other places Would definitely recommend!
Well I have to say Kamo Bakery lives up to all its 5 reviews on Google! As everyone has said the owners are very kind and welcoming. I tried the Paklava ? I think that’s the name, a walnut cake and the date cakes. All were absolutely delicious and these singles in the photos are all that survived the 5minute walk home. Also picked up a big bag of Samoon bread which is also great. Very happy to have Kamo in the neighborhood!
I would love to give more than 5 stars to this amazing bakery! It was such a joy to go to Kamo bakery. The fresh smell, great quality, and the cleanliness makes you visit more and more! What made me be so impressed is the wonderful woman who works hardly behind the scenes to make all the delicious pastry and sweets! Highly recommended
Owner is really friendly and kind! The breads, sesame cookies, and baklava were delicious. Probably the best baklava I’ve had - crispy, flakey, and not too sweet. My favourite was the pistachio one. Definitely recommend coming by here!
The absolute best Middle-Eastern / Mediterranean Bakery….Ever!!! This little gem does not disappoint in fact you won’t find more authentic-breads or pastries anywhere in western Canada. No cheap ingredients at Kamo Baker and you can taste the quality! Once you try it you’ll refuse to settle for anything less… I live 4 hours away and we always stock up every-time we are in town. #1 Baklava #1 Date filled cookies and #1 tandoori Bread Saj. always fresh even when I freeze and thaw!!! Absolutely love this place!!!
The authentic pastries here will take you to Middle East. The owners are exceptionally kind and humble who know the art of baking traditional sweets. Not pictured but the baklava is one of the best ones I’ve had in Lower Mainland. 11/10
Everything the other review says are right! The owner is definitely the sweetest thing in the shop as all their pastries are made with low sugar. After hearing it's my first time there, the owner was so enthusiastic to introduce to me what they have and giving me a couple of samples to try. It was a very heart warming gesture. First the baklavas, the sweetness is only about 1/2 or less than the other baklavas out there, I can finally taste the true taste of the baklavas without filling my mouth with syrup. My husband absolutely loves it. My absolute favorites in the shop is the sesame cake and the dates pastry. Sesame cake tastes really fragrant and addictive. You don't get sick and tired of the taste at all. The texture is more like a cookie. The date pastry is quite different from the other places I've tried and definitely my second choice from the shop. The orange chocolate cookie is another must have if you are a chocolate person. It's got such a strong dark bitter chocolate taste to it you'll feel like you're eating dark chocolate itself. The texture was also really good. It has a combination of cookies and brownies texture making it nice and moist but still crunchy. Everything is priced by weight baklava costs more. I think on average, each pc will cost around $1. This place is a bit out of my way, but with this quality, I'm ok to make a trip there more often now
this place is a gem!! The owner is super pleasant and the pastry selection is awesome. the baklavas and other cookies are splendid. come pay a visit if you crave for some quality desserts.
