Where Every Life Counts!
What Do We Value?
We Believe:
1. In the verbal inspiration of the Holy Scriptures.
2. In the existence of One True God who has revealed Himself to the world as the Father, as the Son, and as the Holy Spirit.
3. In the Savior of men, the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very Man.
4. In the creation, test, and fall of man, as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness.
5. In the Gospel of the Grace of God, how that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day for our justification.
6. In the salvation of sinners by grace alone, through faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Christ on our behalf upon the Cross of Calvary.
7. In water baptism of believers by immersion, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
8. In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, with the scriptural evidence; namely, speaking in tongues.
9. In the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in
1 Corinthians being exercised and practiced as manifest in the early church.
10. In the Lord’s Memorial, commonly called the Lord’s Supper, for believers.
11. In the healing of the body by Divine Power, or Divine Healing in its many aspects as practiced by the early church.
12. In the eternal life of the believer and the eternal punishment of the unbeliever.
13. In the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world, and the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith.
14. In the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His church.
15. In the sanctity of marriage, as a life long exclusive commitment between one man and one woman.
Where Have We Come From?
In September 1960, Kamloops Full Gospel Tabernacle was birthed. A few families, united by a belief in the unfailing grace of God and in the evidence of the Pentecostal experience, began to pray together in homes until God proved Himself faithful. Miracles began to happen and growth came. A vibrant ministry to children quickly developed, becoming the largest part of this early church. Following shortly behind, a dynamic youth ministry emerged along with ministry to families.
Ever since those initial days in 1960, emphasis has been given to the Word of God and to prayer, praise & worship, team ministry and the equipping of the saints.
Today we continue to be a church family that believes in the presence and power of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Where Are We Going?
To be a church that is walking in the revelation of the WORD of God, experiencing salvation, healing, freedom, restoration and becoming worshipers in Spirit and in Truth.
How Will We Get There?
Kamloops Full Gospel Tabernacle is a Spirit-filled, community-based church with a unique blend of people from every walk of life. Through biblical instruction and lifestyle we desire to:
· Communicate God’s love and acceptance,
· Demonstrate practical avenues of evangelistic outreach,
· Model scriptural standards of pastoral feeding and care,
· Provide prophetic insight into the church’s destiny, and
· Implement teaching within the local church to equip all the saints for the work of the ministry.
How Do We Worship?
Praise and worship is a big part of the life of Kamloops Full Gospel Tabernacle. We are a church committed to demonstrating our passion for Jesus Christ through exuberant praise and musical excellence. We are a people called together to worship in Spirit and Truth.
We exist for the purpose of directing people of all ages into the divine presence of God through praise, thanksgiving and worship where they may experience His miracle working power and His everlasting love.
Our weekly Family Worship Services range from joyful times of celebration to intimate moments of Christ-centered worship. Incorporating modern, contemporary choruses with familiar hymns and choruses of the past enable us to blend the younger with the older, bridging the generation gap so prevalent in our world and the church today.
