The Kamloops Art Gallery was incorporated and opened in 1978. It is the principal Gallery for the visual arts in the southern interior of British Columbia. The Gallery is committed to the belief that art is an essential part of the human experience. It is dedicated to making this belief tangible within the communities it serves.

I dropped in to the Art Gallery the other day on a whim and was blown away by the experience. It featured the Lawren Harris exhibition and it was just the antidote to this extreme fire season here in B.C. Very professional and very uplifting. Thanks to all the staff for doing such a good job!

The people here are lovely and their care for the work is obvious. The building itself is remarkable and though it's not cheap, their art gallery store is a great place to buy gifts and keepsakes.
