I was feeling depressed, and contemplating. I called Gryphon Place, which is a suicide prevention lifeline. A minute or two after I got off the phone with Gryphon Place, someone from Kalamazoo Community Mental Health called me to yell at me about calling Gryphon Place. They said that they own Gryphon Place and I am not allowed to call, that I have to call someone else. They are very unprofessional and extremely rude. They believe that only their schedule matters. They have been known to break confidentiality on numerous occasions.

After an overnight stay in the hospital for mental health issues, I was discharged and referred to KCMH to get the mental health help that I desperately needed. They deemed me ineligible to receive help and referred me elsewhere, and have probably played a part in future mental health episodes that I'm sure to have without proper psychiatric help.
