I commute all over Oregon and SW Washington, and this place is....okay. Burger patty is decent. it just lacks flavor. The tots were crispy and flaky, but similarly lacking flavor. The fry sauce is more of a honey mustard style, which isn't my favorite. Overall there's nothing bad about the food, but it doesn't stand out, either.Food: 3/5
Food was good and the shakes were delicious. Short wait for the food but it came out warm. Nice stop off the freeway a lot better then any fast food restaurant but you couldn’t tell by the prices.
Cool little burger joint but I got halibut fish and chips and was pleasantly surprised - I am VERY picky about my fish and chips...- wife got the deluxe burger and onion rings. She said the burger -with a gluten free bun - was pretty good and her onion rings were great I ate them all...we traded rings for fries so back off!. We will leave with a shake or swirl cone if I eat all that's on my plate.
We love a good burger place and this place is just that. Very good small burger place. The food is great. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. Love the prices as well. Will be coming back again.Food: 5/5
An exquisite example of mid century highway Americana, with an affordable menu of tasty classics. Great service, and the best malted chocolate shake on I-5.
This is a great old fashioned burger place! The food was good, the place was clean and the service was excellent. I had the chili burger. While my partner had the chicken strips. The chili burger was overflowing with chili and very tasty. The chicken strips were crisp and you could tell they used a good quality of oil. When deep frying them. They had old-fashioned crinkle cut fries that were very good as well. The chocolate malt was great. You should definitely treat yourself to chocolate malt every now and then. It is just a few minutes off of I-5 in kalama and worth it if you are driving by. The restaurant was spotless and it looked like it had recently been recently been redone. The counter help was courteous and attentive.
This place was wonderful and such a great little find. My husband had the strawberry milkshake and he's been raving about it since. It was very good. They also offered a gluten free bun which we appreciated due to allergies. We were both happy with our burgers. It's definitely not a gourmet burger no fancy brioche bun, goat cheese relish etc - it's more like a throw back burger joint. Reminded us a little of five guys or like in n out without the "animal style". I also had the onion rings which were definitely greasy but they hit the spot for my pregnancy craving : French fries were good as well. We definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a tasty burger spot along the I5 corridor. We will be stopping here again and hopefully soon! : Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
I just added this spot to my favorites! We decided to stop here on the way to Oregon for a quick bite and I'm so glad we did! The service was friendly, helpful and offered us a few delicious suggestions to try. The burgers were tasty and the fish and chips halibut and fries were as well and the 3 piece was filling for me. I also had a large pumpkin pie milkshake which legit tasted like I was drinking a pumpkin pie! We may have to stop here on every trip!
I love some nostalgia and Americana, but I would skip this place next time. The burger is not a quality beef patty and the vegetables were not fresh. The shake was good, but not blended enough and we had to wait 20mins for it to be drinkable. I was hoping for a location that had more cool pictures or Americana, but it's really just an old building in a parking lot. The sign on the street is cool, but it ends there. Once you enter it's just a box with a fryer. Kinda disappointing
The burger was everything I had hoped with a better than expected bun. I wish there were more fries to the large, and they could have salted them more. Sad I didn't get salt or fry sauce with the meal, just 6 ketchup packets. Milk shake was excellent. I'll be coming back. This is the double with bacon and cheese. Edit: in response to the guy bashing millennials below everyone I encountered was friendly and busting butt, even the grey haired guy at the window.
