Overall a very good Thai restaurant. The atmosphere is clean and nicely decorated. All the staff was very polite and attentive. The appetizers were good, not the best I've had, but they were tasty. The soup was delicious as well as all our entrees. No complaints. Presentation was nice and flavors were on point. Spice level in not too high, so if you like spicy order it spicier.
For some of the best tasting Thai food this is the place to go. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Kitsap County. They are always busy and there is a reason why, excellent food and great service. Located next to Central Market in Poulsbo. Not enough time to dine in, get an order to go, you won’t be disappointed.
My family of 10 always agree on something when it comes to eating out. Korean bbq and Thai food. That means we're picky when it comes to our Thai restaurants so when stumbled upon this small town thai restaurant that boast elegant decors and even more promising online reviews, we just had to. Let's just say, EVERYONE was raving! From the noodles to the curry.. everything! The service was quick and they were very friendly. We will for sure come back again. The drive from Seattle will for sure be worth it!
I’m a big fan of Thai cuisine, and I’ve been to many of the well-known Thai restaurants on the west coast, including Pok Pok in Portland RIP, Night + Market in LA so good, and Kin Len Thai Night Bites in Seattle excellent. However, in my humble opinion, Kachai Thai Kitchen tucked away in Poulsbo is even better than these other acclaimed spots. I visited Kachai last night since I was staying on Bainbridge Island and had an amazing dining experience. From the moment you walked in through the stylish horizontal wood-paneled doors, everything was great. We had crab wontons as an appetizer and they were fried to the perfect crispness and paired with a sweet-tangy sauce. For entrees we chose the boar collar, chicken panang curry, and pad kee mao. The boar collar was so tender and flavorful, and paired with some sautéed veggies. The chicken panang curry had the right balance of heat and sweetness from the peanut sauce, and it was packed with chicken and veggies. I’m a big fan of pad kee mao, and Kachai absolutely nailed it. Great flavor and lots of meat and veggies to compliment the wide rice noodles. For dessert we had a mango sticky rice that was the perfect “capper” for our meal. The restaurant offers Singha beer and a good selection of wines. We had their Chardonnay and dry rose, and both were great pairings to the Thai food. The interior of the restaurant is stylishly decorated with eye-catching light fixtures overhead and small lanterns strung through the dining room. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. If I lived nearby it would definitely become one of my regular favorites. For now I will just keep dreaming about the next time I’m able to return.
Visiting family and that's where the birthday boy chose to have dinner. My go to is chicken Pad Thai and I was not disappointed at all. It was excellent. Good portion of food have leftovers and prices are very reasonable. I would recommend and would definitely go back. Husband had the cashew chicken and said his was very good. Waitress was very friendly and the place is clean.
The most amazing food I have ever eaten. My first visit but not my last. Enormous portions and so reasonably priced.Food: 5/5
I wish I could give this place 5 stars. Their food is amazing and no one can beat there Drunken noodles My fav. Everything I have eaten here has been super yummy and delicious. The missing star is for 2 reasons 1. there was a waitress possibly manager/owner slightly older lady. She was very rude, to all the customers maybe a server did not show up and she had to work? but she made me not want to return as a sit down customer. 2. There is no way to do a 2 star, not that big of deal. I just don't really love how spicy a 3 is and 1 is not spicy enough. Other than that, this place is the best Thai place around hands down.
Ordered full dinner to go online. When I arrived still a 30 min wait. I thought I would enjoy a saki while I waited. There used to be a side area bar seating to the left of the host table now set up for diners but completely empty this eve I was told there was no bar and I couldn't sit to have a drink while I waited. When I said I had ordered dinner, I was told I could sit in the old bar area -- but if it got busy, I would have to move to the bench by the front door! I sat in the back at a table that was not set. A second wait person came and moved me into the main dining room, saying I could not sit in the side room. I had not yet been served my drink which I had paid for ten minutes earlier. I waited at the new table with bus person setting the entire table for two -- still no drink. Twenty minutes into my arrival, I asked for my drink, which they finally served without the glass of ice requested. The bus person was kind and apologetic, however the others were discourteous. The main restaurant, while busy, was not full on this Saturday night. My table for two was not I'm demand. My dinner was delivered to my table as promised 25 mins after my arrival with the same attitude from the wait person, and as I left no one was seated in the side room. Disappointing for a restaurant I have always felt had excellent food and customer service. Food was still delicious...attitude/service needs adjustment.
The food is amazing but the customer service not so great! This is the 3rd time in a row that we have ordered delivery to get the incorrect order or the not completed order. For $60+ we received chicken curry and an appetizer chicken satay. We were missing one fool meal the Kachai Salad. We received Kachai Rice instead full of shrimp. Due to a shrimp allergy, we were unable to eat the rice. The restaurant said they saw the order come in on door dash and typed the order in wrong to their kitchen and typed in Kachai rice. They said they could not deliver to me that they would remake it if I want to come pick it up. It was raining and we waited for 1 hour 15 mins from the time I placed the order and until it arrived. The purpose of delivery is so we don’t have to go out. I asked if they could deliver my food or place the order through DoorDash and pay for the delivery and they said no. I decided to order someplace else for my meal and we will not go back to this restaurant. 3 times now we have experienced this issue.
Came in with a party of 5 with no reservation on a Wednesday night and was able to secure a table promptly. Servers were inexperienced and had a lot to learn but still did their jobs well. The food was phenomenal! We ordered almost every appetizer available, the rangoon is to die for, the satay dishes were wonderful and the calamari was light and crisp, the spring rolls were good just not what most are used to. For our entrees we got crispy garlic chicken, coriander beef, seafood hotpot and garlic shrimp as well as yaki soba chicken and crab fried rice. The fried rice was amazing lots of crab and wonderful flavor as well as 5 humungous shrimp. The garlic shrimp was at least 15 whole shrimp. The crispy garlic chicken was so crispy and flavorful and the coriander beef was tender and well seasoned. 4.5/5 would definitely eat here again!
