We've been customers since K-Blocks opened. Service always very good and friendly. Some meals better, warmer, and less fatty brisket depending on the day. Recently, we noticed a huge improvement on the brisket and the overall composition/presentation of the food. The quality and ratio of ingredients in certain dishes was majorly and very noticeably improved! We had to ask who was in the kitchen...and the answer was Mary! Yay! If Mary is cooking, we will definitely keep coming back. Try the pit platter, brisket fries and brisket tacos for great food and flavor! And 5 stars to Mary!
First time coming here, and we drove 20 miles to come. It was absolutely great. Got pretzels to start, and they were nicely seasoned. The smoked chicken wings stole the show though. They were so flavorful, and all the barbecue sauces they had to dip in were amazing. The chicken and waffles sandwich but up a good fight with being everything a sandwich really should be. I can not wait to come back here again. Definitely gotta bring everyone here. Kid-friendliness: If I heard the gentleman right, they run specials on Sundays for kids.
I had the double trouble with pulled pork and brisket. Both meats were amazing and the Mac and cheese was so creamy. The 3 sauces offer a wide variety of great BBQ tastes. The live music provided gave the place a great atmosphere.
Great food! Generous portions. I got the Double Trouble with brisket, pulled pork, cornbread, fries, and mac and cheese. Everything was sooo good. I didn't even NEED BBQ sauce for the meats, they had so much flavor. My husband loved the brisket tacos. Our waiter was sooo nice as well. Highly Recommend!
Place was clean, staff very friendly, everything was tasty. The only thing holding me back from giving a 5 is the 1/2 chicken and jalapeño sausage was on the dry side side. Will be back to try it again.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to this amazing restaurant! We had them cater our 200+ guest wedding reception and we could not of asked for a better experience. Throughout the entire process we were in contact with a kind and helpful woman named Mel. She was so great to work with and my husband and I were in awe at how good the food was! and the prices were great too!. Thank you for being so kind, accommodating, and patient with all of our questions. We could not have asked for a better caterer for our wedding, and we are so thankful that we heard of you guys when we did.
Portions are very small for the price. Ordered the 2 meat plate. Not worth the money. Worst part, it was like eating rubber. Hate ordering food and still leaving hungry. The pork rinds were legit though.
The food was delicious! We found this place sort of on accident and these were some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had - and I was skeptical because most people in the north can't make grits that well. The only complaint is about the water which tasted funky so we opted to get other drinks instead and the cocktail was a little strong but still yummy.
Had a fairly large take out order, $125. It was not complicated though and they forgot to give 2 sides of fries. The burnt ends were not good at all, definitely not worth $14! everything else was pretty good. I would recommend the ribs.
Got takeout from here today. The gumbo was not gumbo at all it was like a thick paste with andouille sausage chunks. Ordered the Cajun shrimp which were delicious but for 16 dollars I though I would get a little more than 6 shrimp with a couple onions and green peppers. The piggy mac was good but a little dry. I would give 2 and a half stars probably. Won’t be going back tho
