Amazing Octopus appy and delicious pastas. Read the Chef's story on his site, similar to mine - knew he was passionate about the food. Nothing disappointed! Local wines - red and white! Wanted to say hi to the Chef but saw he was busy cooking! Next time!
One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever experienced. Spaghetti, white wine and tiramisu plus double espresso was a package i felt in love with. Oh, the staff were super friendly and helpful.
Cutest little Italian spot that has the most delicious food! We ordered the pappardelle bolognese and shared the white wine mussels to start. The mussels were so delicious and the sauce was amazing. The bread was so fluffy and we dipped it in the sauce which was to die for. The pasta was so flavourful and delicious as well and the portion sizes are generous! Safe to say we had enough pasta leftover for another meal when we got home!
Amazing authentic italian restaurant!! A group of friends and I managed to score last minute reservations for the outdoor patio such a nice set up. I ordered the marinated olives and one of the specials for the night, the veal ravioli. The food was absolutely delicious and everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. I unfortunately was so stuffed I couldn't order dessert but I definitely will the next time. On top of the food aspect, the restaurant and it's staff for the quality service. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. In addition to that, I'd also like to thank the restaurant for being so considerate and stocking their bathrooms with more than just the typical items. The womens washrooms had feminine hygiene products on a take-what-you need basis and some very yummy perfume and hand oils as a nice refresher.
We have friends who live in Lincoln and basically live at or off delivery from here so after all their pics we finally decided to go and SO GLAD WE DID! You know when you almost don’t want to write a review bc your local spot may blow up? This is that The food was Sooooo soooo good. Just fresh and flavourful and seasonal and not fancy for no reason I think I want to say pretentious?. It’s rustic but not sloppy or low end. Definitely on par with any winery or fancy inn restaurants in the area! The service was friendly and accommodating hubby is allergic to tomatoes which usually makes Italian food an issue— And it wasn’t! and the atmosphere is comfortable and then BAM seriously delicious food arrives. Pro tip: get the gelato. It’s made in house and it’s phenomenal.
Amazing food. The dine in experience is a little loud. But the service is just as amazing as the food. Cute, cozy little place. Real homemade pasta...need I say more!
We went with a larger party for a birthday dinner. My rating reflects the opinions of some of the other diners in our party as well. The restaurant was busy for a Sunday night, and the service was great. Attentive and courteous wait staff. We had calamari fritti for an appetizer which was very good, served with lemon mayo and salsa verde. The lemon mayo was unexpectedly very good with the calamari, and something I've never had. The calamari itself was good, not greasy or chewy, with a light crisp batter. My main dish, Penne Salsiccia penne pasta with red wine tomato sauce, sausage, caramelized onions, and bacon I thought was spectacular. Just the right amount of spice, the sauce and the sausage were delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Portion size was just right for me. Other diners felt it was a little salty. I have posted pictures of that dish and the arctic char, which I was told was very good. The specials were quite diverse and sounded amazing. I saw the pork chop dish come out of the kitchen and it looked impressive. It is obvious the chef cares about presentation, and it was done very well. There is a small selection of bottled and local canned beer, and a nice wine list by the bottle or glass, however prices I felt were a little high for wine by the glass. I expect to pay more for wine at a higher end restaurant, I just thought it was on the high side. Perhaps a house wine by the half or full litre would be a welcome addition to the menu. There is also a small selection of nice cocktails like a negroni, chocolate martini, lemoncello wine spritzer. The restaurant itself has a cozy decor with a comfortable ambiance, also a great patio out front. There is a big window that looks into the kitchen from outside where you can see the chefs at work, which I thought was a great feature. The bathrooms are very nice, super clean and well appointed with a selection of hair products as well, which I've never seen before! We had some young kids in our party ages 6 to 13 and I would say this is not really a place for young kids. But I am not deducting points for that as we knew this in advance and did not expect chicken fingers and fries . Just for those with young kids, something to consider. Overall I had a great dining experience and the majority of our party did as well. For an upscale Italian dining option, this is a great one. It is obvious the staff and the chef care about your experience both in the food and the restaurant itself.
We had driven by this place so many times that we finally decided to stop in. We’re glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing. We really enjoyed their patio setup during a warm summer night. Great wine selection as well. Would definitely return!
We tried Just Cooking tonight and had a fabulous dinner. The reviews are all mostly good but what intrigued me was the owner comments to some reviews. With that much passion - the food must be good- and it was excellent. Good for you! Thank you for a great dinner - we will be back!
Great, unassuming Italian place in Vineland. Food is top notch. We shared fried calamari as the appetizer. It was delicious, the only issue was the size of the plate. Humongous. It was followed by home made gnocchi in gorgonzola cream sauce with rapini. Best gnocchi ever! The other main was a spaghettini with mushrooms. Just as delicious.
