sad to write this.. we used to love coming to Judy's. We arrived at 1pm for 'all day breakfast" to be handed the breakfast menu, then have it removed after staff said "oh we don't do that any more". OK.. meanwhile my tea arrived really wrong and backwards.. took another 10 min or so for creams etc..20 min in she returns and so we ordered from entree's .. mine was roast beef and mashed, other was Shepards pie which anyone knows has mashed potatoes BAKED on top.. she came back and announced "I forgot we don't do mashed potatoes on Mondays" WHAT???? , we tried to figure out even on the Shepards pie?? yes she said it would come w/o clearly the girl has never had Shepards pie. so .. again.. change our order -- i ordered chicken parm - and i explained 4 ways that did NOT want any extra parm sprinkled on she even repeated it back.. it came w/ Parm on it.. the pasta was cool - not hot. the cheese in the pasta wasn't melted. and the kicker - the "garlic bread" ? was texas toast.. taken out of the toaster barely warm - with garlic "spread" on it wasn't even melted - was soo gross. the marinara on the dish was excellent however. the other two ordered Ruben's -- which were well made.. but also asked for a spinach salad "if you could make it a side".. when the salad didn't show - we asked why ? "oh cause you said "If it could be a side - it couldn't so i didn't get it" but never came to us for a 2nd choice either?? It took a long while again for the entres. 4.00 extra to swap in onion rings we also felt was crazy expensive. each time we requested a drink - same - meanwhile she was mopping the floor in the non-used area of the restaurant which i'm sure she was TOLD to do.. but meanwhile customers weren't being served". All in all.. slow, semi hot, messed up orders for 3 cost 75.00. we won't go back.
This is that kinda place that serves you a REAL portion. Food is handmade, not skimpy, is absolutely delicious. A fav truck stop / roadside dinner that will fill your belly, leave you happy and also sell you pie.Food: 5/5
one of those places you least expect will be good but the food is amazing. live in the city but i would drive an hour just to eat here. the food / lunch was delicious.
Hands down our favorite spot for breakfast! From the outside you wouldn’t know what to expect as this is a hidden gem but on the inside you feel home. The staff are wonderful and the menu is fantastic. Go for the smoked salmon Benedict, or anything with bacon. I’ll also mention their pantry and take-home dishes are a lifesaver. This place had me at their home made jam and garlic pickles seriously, they sell THE best pickles . Thanks for being so awesome Kid-friendliness: Great with kids! My sons love their food and the staff is very helpful with keeping up with the busy children
We have stopped there on our way from Richmond Hill to Stratford just for washroom and "maybe coffee" and stayed for lunch and have never regretted :. We have had one of the best liver and onions in our life. Coffee has been hardly warm but we asked again and gotten fresh and decent and as hot as hell on that cold day with plenty of cream and sugar. The right place at right location for travelers.
He have enjoyed many great meals at Judy’s and I’m not going to lie, I love this place. But the last time that we came, I arrived at around 635 one couple went in before me and I waited outside for my husband to come in his own car. Once we went inside about five minutes later we were told they were closed. But the couple in front of us were seated. I’m not sure why your hours say 8pm when they fully intend to close at 7. If you’re going to change your hours then do so people come from far and plan their day out to come to this restaurant just to be told in your closing early when they had three tables of people in the restaurant…very disappointing. Not sure I’ll be going back.
It was really nice dining there. We enjoyed our drinks and the food was good! The staff were friendly. We found the decorations and little quotes on the wall to be amusing and funny.
The perfect little diner at the perfect spot on our day trip. Friendly staff, tasty food and a wicked beer selection! Thank ya Judy!
This is must go for anyone n everyone the food is awesome , the place is cute inside and patio and the service is warm like a hug. Xoxo thank u John for such an awesome experience. This will alwaysssssssss be our favorite place.
Long time since I've been to Judy's. Not much seems to have changed. Sunday morning about 10:15. Quite busy, wait staff buzzing about. Ordered Mushroom and Cheddar Omelet, homefries, Toast & Coffee. Coffee arrived promptly withe Cutlery and Napkin. Took about 7 minutes for food to arrive. Looked OK, eventually tasted fine but in the mean time, having unwrapped the Cutlery from the napkin, discovered Dried Grains of Rice stuck to the Tines of the Fork. Caught the attention of a server, she exchanged the set immediately. So, a mixed experience.
