Josephine Campground

Great place, very cozy and quite for the most part. River swimming is beautiful and refreshingly clean. Camp sites are a bit messy people don't pick up after themselves and it appears in spots to be a local party area. if you are willing to hike into the river from further up the road alot more private but no bathroom facility. Up side, free, gorgeous, quaint, relaxing and enjoyable. Down sides as listed and also would not personally bring kids as it seems to be a "new age" hippie hang out closer to the bridge.

So relaxing and beautiful. I only wish that people would clean up after themselves, because broken glass was everywhere. Other then that, I loved it and it's the best free place I've ever been. You can also fish, hike, catch crawdads, catch frogs and swim if it's not too cold.
