I had a wonderful experience, a family friend took us here after my boys won a district championship for hockey. There were 7 of us. The waitress was very nice, attentive, kept our glasses filled and our food came out pretty quick. We ordered cheese curds and French fries to start. The fries were crunchy and delicious and the cheese curds were good. A lot of us ordered the broasted chicken dinner, i loved the mashed potatoes and the chicken had good seasonings, moist and juicy. The Canadian Walleye meal wasn't greasy, very crisp and flakey, very delicious.. My son ordered a Belgian waffle and it was big, it came with eggs and bacon plus some strawberry preserves. We ended with some banana cream pie that was one of the best I had. Overall we were all full and satisfied, definitely a place I will visit again.
A wonderful family restaurant. We were seated right away despite it being a busy time. Despite the large number of patrons, it seemed quiet, with tables nicely spaced. Food was great, there were booster seats, high chairs, crayons, kid cups with lids, and picture books that my kids enjoyed. The pie selection looked amazing, but we were all too full to sample it. Bathroom was clean and surprisingly nice.
Brought my mom to Joseph's for a birthday lunch 12:30pm on Saturday because she loves Joseph's and their pie. At 12-12:30pm on a Saturday the parking lot was very busy but we found a spot and didn't have to wait to get seated which was nice. They have a great "homemade" type menu with fresh baked pies that are always good. They are more mid-range to higher price range $$. You do have to pay attention to some menu items. There is the cost for a basic item, and then you are charged additional to add on items. For example, french toast by itself is one price $, if you add an egg and / or meat, then you are up to a much higher price $$. That is really my only issue. The food was good and portion size is good. The service was great! We got pie to go. The pie slices are always good size too. Restaurants took quite a hit during COVID so price increases are all relative. You just need to be prepared if going with 3 or more people for a larger bill.
I went to Joseph's Restaurant on Friday 6/17. That was the first time I've been there. Went in and order the Tower Burger meal. The lady that took my order ask me how did I want my burger SAID WELL DONE. One of the lady's that work their was so RUDE. When I got through paying I had to sign the receipt. Told her the pen was working so she THROW ME ANOTHER PEN THAT DID WORK .I sign the receipt and waited for my order. Took it home and got a big surprise. They told me that they serve good food there so that's why I went. Well my burger was RAW. So called them and I had talked to the lady that took my order and she apologized and said she would give me a gift card for $20.00 dollars. So today 6/20 after work I went to pick up the gift card. Took my receipt and the pictures I took on my phone. Got there the lady was RUDE again. It was the same lady that throw me the pen. I told her about what had happen on Friday. She ask me for the receipt and I showed her the picture. She ask me how did I ask for my burger to be done I ask for WELL DONE NOT THE MESS THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME ON FRIDAY. MAYBE THERE PEOPLE WHO EAT THEIR FOOD RAW BUT IM NOT ONE OF THEM. SHE ANSWERED WELL I DONT HAVE TO GIVE YOU THE GIFT CARD.YOU CAN AWAYS COME BACK. I TOLD HER THAT WAS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME I WOULD BE GOING THERE. SHE SAID WELL IF YOUR NOT GOING TO USE THE GIFT CARD THEN I DONT HAVE TO GIVE IT TO YOU. I TOLD HER I DONT HAVE TO USE IT BUT I CAN GIVE IT TO A FRIEND OR ANOTHER PERSON. I MYSELF DONT HAVE TO COME HERE AND USE IT. BUT AGAIN SHE WAS VERY RUDE. SO SHE PUT $14.00 IN THE GIFT CARD. BUT I THINK THAT PEOPLE SERVING OTHER PEOPLE SHOULDNT BE RUDE.
I went here with friends the other evening for the first time. I was looking forward to having a burger and fries as I had not had one in a long time. The bread was toasted very dark, almost burned, and the burger was thin and overcooked I ordered it medium. I am not a fussy customer by any means, but I get a better burger at Culver’s for less than half the price. It was not restaurant quality and the fries should have had a larger portion, considering the price. The other thing that was disappointing is that the server did not know who ordered what drink or what food when delivering. I was a server in college and know how this should be! Don’t come out and ask who has what. Take the orders in order and deliver them as such. Great service seems to have gone by the wayside. Also come back and check how the food is. I would have sent my burger back if this had been done. Sadly, I won’t be returning. I would have liked to try the pie.
There are not enough accolades that I can give Joseph’s Restaurant in regard to their kind and generous support for the community! They welcomed the entire Bayport Cub Scout Pack and provided them with an awesome Pie-Making activity. Gavin, the general manager, was enthusiastic when the idea was first broached. After consulting with Chef Brandon and Manager Dylan, they created a fun, educational and age-appropriate event that will not be forgotten by the kids or their parents. Every detail was anticipated and planned for. Brandon was an excellent teacher and he, Gavin and Dylan seemed to enjoy themselves as much as the scouts did! The dough, pie crusts, pans, filling were all generously provided—allowing the scouts to bring home their pies to bake at home. They even had pie boxes and bags to make transport easy and mess-free. We couldn’t be more grateful, or impressed, by the efforts of Joseph’s staff.
The chicken sandwich was very good. My husband had the Ruben and he said it was delicious. Got a cherry pie and it was awesome. Our server was very nice and fun to talk to. Will definitely visit again.Food: 5/5
Had the Whiskey steak and it was absolutely delicious. My mother who is not crazy for potatoes thought the mashed potatoes that came with the steak was delicious as well. The service was really friendly. I would definitely go back again.Food: 5/5
I've been coming to this restaurant for 35yrs. It's been remodeled several times with some changes to the menu but all the things that make this place the best are still there!! The eggs Benedict are 2nd to none! Next level! The Joseph's tower burger is fantastic! You'll love this place. Don't forget the pie for desert!!Food: 5/5
Had eggs Benedict. Tasty but the very thin piece of Canadian bacon was almost nonexistent. Husbands American breakfast was good. A bit disappointed as had heard very good reviews and expected more. Would give a second chance.Food: 4/5
