Restaurant Review - Have been here many times and it's usually really good. We both ordered the fish and chips and it came out in less than 5 minutes. The food was dropped off without any cutlery or condiments. The fries were raw and the batter on the fish was raw and floury. It was gross. You can't make a fish and chips in 5 minutes. The place was busy and we would have been happy to wait for the food instead of it obviously being rushed out. The server was very flippant and short. I understand it's busy but the food was obviously rushed and the server didn't seem to care. No manager or server made any effort to rectify the experience. It was a ridiculous experience. This place seems to be going downhill.
Showed up with a group of people a few Friday nights ago. The restaurant was entertaining a table of people still, however told us they were closed, and wouldn't provide any service. It's too bad because we had 12 people with us, spending a lot of money. I won't go back now, just due to that experience. All local people as well, people who have also supported this place over the years ‍ Not welcome while they served up a table of people inside... ah well, I guess our past and future business isn't of their concern.
The hotel is very classy and looks clean. Staff are young and provide good service. However, I did get multiple bed bug bites, looks can be deceiving.... Flat rock winery is the best, excellent white wine.Rooms: 1/5
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Very simple and casual but nice. We will definitely stay at the Jordan House again. Tavern food is ok. We had the steak frites and the fish and chips. Steak was difficult to eat as it had tendons running through it so most of it stayed on the plate. Fish was cooked perfectly. Fries were under done and still a bit raw in the center. Beer selection was good. Local wine on offer, of course. Prices are good for the area. Probably won't return to the Tavern.
I recently had dinner at the Jordan House, I have not been for food since March of 2021. I was extremely disappointed, I ordered a pizza and some wings. To say the wings were terrible would be an under statement, they also came with no blue cheese. The meatza pizza was just ok. Our server was pleasant but was not efficient. All in all if this is the current state of food and service at this establishment I will probably not return. Since they are local I will give them another try but my expectations are very low. I usually try and find a bright spot, but I truly cannot find one. My beer was cold I guess.
I was a regular at the Jordan House Tavern until 2 weeks ago. I got badly ill a few hours after my meal of mushroom soup and salad/hand held pesto cheese. I contacted restaurant mgr with little satisfaction. I was advised I would receive gift card which is yet to appear. Advised mgr that gift card did not arrive. She assured me she mailed it! Have my doubts! She doesn’t take ownership!
This is an overpriced hotel which has probably seen better days. Rooms are dark and dreary.Service is non existent even when you go to the tavern for a drink. You have to go up to the bar to be served by a cranky, and overweight bar tender. Location is OK but does not justify the prices being charged.Rooms: 3/5
My girlfriend and I went to the Jordan house tavern for dinner a few days ago, we shared the Buffalo cauliflower and were both very sick that night and spent the whole day vomiting. Will never get or be back again unfortunately. Our main meals were fantastic.
We were here a few years ago and it was great how3ver this time around, the food wasn't very good and the service wasn't the best they missed our drink order twice. We will likely give it another shot in the future but this time was a bit disappointing. Food & drinks: We ordered a poutine and a burger and out burger buns were soggy and so were the fries in our poutine. There was plenty of cheese curds which I liked. The burger was overcooked.
Restaurant Review. Sunday afternoon. Meals just ok. Uninspiring menu. Hasn't changed much, if at all, all year. Not many tables occupied when we got there - very slow service to start, but I noticed everyone's orders came out almost together, so can't really complain. Not thinking of returning anytime soon .
