There’s a bit of everything here at this little hidden park within a residential area. The best part of the park is that the playground is mostly IN THE SHADE which has been amazing for super hot summer days we’ve been having in Vancouver! I came at noon and the playground was in the shade due to some old growth trees in this area. There are real bathrooms at this park and also picnic tables and logs for sitting. I enjoyed the renewed park a lot, although the little mound is super slippery and my kid as well as a few adults slipped down lol. I think their shoes were not grippy enough because I did not fall so just wear runners! There is a little sandbox and small toddler slide, and someone put a little bbq and kitchen toy for pretend play. There are also two sets of swings; one for babies on the other side and one for older kids on the opposite end close to the bathrooms. The best part was the huge pirate ship for pretend play and a giant snail for photos and for climbing, although the snail is not always in shade and can sometimes get quite hot from the sun. The merry-go-round with seats was also cute as was the tiny little dolphin sitting thing I forget the name!. The playground is small but just enough diversity for play for all ages, young and old. I really enjoyed the park and I saw many seniors meet up to sit at the tables farther away from the playground to play cards together; that was nice to see. There are also some workout equipment? I thought it was for kids but I think its for adults. Also a large field for sports; generally a very diverse little gem hidden in a residential area. Will come back again for a picnic and play especially on a super hot sunny day so we can be in the shade!
Nice local family park with outdoor drinking fountain with water bottle filling station and Norwell Outdoor Fitness equipment. The park was recently upgraded just before the pandemic. You can tell the Norwell Cross - NW202 Cardio Station was well used because the screw fell out and is missing! There should be a locking pin for the screw. Minus one star for broken equipment. #COV #Park #NorwellOutdoorFitness
Nice park a lot of families use the play ground that was redone a few years ago. Mostly used by the families in the Neighbourhood, it is a clean park
Jones Park is a community park that recently gone through some renovation. Park is clean and people can play sports such as soccer or football in the park as well walking/jogging along the park’s perimeter path. Park is more for the community as there’s no parking available except on residential streets. Family and elderl people can sit and rest at the park.
Appreciate the newly added pathway around the large field, and the tables. I am Not a big fan of the new playground as I've seen a few people slip on the hill and I worry about my kid slipping.
Awesome feature at the park. But the sand box right next to recycle tire playground with steep hills makes it quite dangerous. The sand fills in the gaps in the soft recycled tire and makes the hills super slippery in all conditions. Maybe with more upkeep, this wouldn't be a problem. Exercise bike has been broken for at least a few months
Chill park with a nice playground. Good for picnics and usually not busy. The only downside is that it's near a busy street so it can be a little loud with traffic. The playground is on the opposite side of the busy street so it is still safe for kids.
Nice neighborhood park with very good restauranta nearby
Nice little park. It was recently re-done. Has a nice paved path, a new playground with a pirate ship. Bathroom facility. Nice green grassy area for picnic. Although, it can get busy on a nice day since the park isn't very big. It's closed to a lot of restaurants on Victoria, so, good places to have a picnic eating take out food!
Small city park. Has public washrooms and a small playground. Bike path runs right through it. Be careful of cyclists speeding through it and not yielding to pedestrians. Little off leash dog area in the hours of 5am to 10am, then 5pm to 10pm.
