We visited the small farmers market. It was definitely worth it! I found some Delicious, Gluten Free baked goods. We also purchased some yummy, local maple syrup. Had the pleasure of speaking with the farmer, that produces the maple syrup. I was disappointed, that we couldn't bring our little dog into the outdoor farmers market. My husband had to stay with her. That's my only reason for giving it a 3 star, instead of 5.
Fun, fellowship and great food! The Arena is a highlight. Skates on Fridays are alot of fun. Love the Farmers Markets, and the variety of produce for sale! The Cafe has great fries and being surrounded by all the wildlife is always amazing !
I met a bunch of new friends in the morning there while repairing the flats on my bike tubes! I feel blessed those flats happened so I can meet the community during my journey from Northern Ontario to South America on my bike, snowshoe and horse I am taking for peace between all the nations of Mother Earth!
You can get seeds, plants- veg and flowers, jams, maple products, baking, fresh veggies and local fish. The vendors are welcoming. A great way to start a Saturday.
Voting is always a pleasure.. 1st time in this area tho... a couple years ago I took my 3 year old Granddaughter with me .. when I dropped my ballot in the nox she exclaimed " We're gonna win, eh GRAMMA!!! lol I think she brightened everyone's day !!!
Great selection of garden vegetable, honey, maple syrup and some chicken too - bought some xtra large eggs.
Great Arena and wonderful rural community spirit!
Make sure you eat at Cheryl's Cafe at the arena. Great food, big meals and great prices.
Always have a blast at the events here at the arena in Johnson Twp. The farmers market in the summer months is worth a trip!
It is probably the coldest arena in the area, I can't remember the last time they turned the heat on over the bleachers. Otherwise it is nice.
