I went in for lunch in the lounge Thursday afternoon, my server was very nice and attentive, she didn't hover but I never wanted for anything so that was great! I had the lunch special, it was a half chicken club with a side of cactus cuts. I'll start off with my first disappointment, the cactus cuts which I paid an ADDITIONAL $2.50 for were overly cooked, it's 1 of 2 things, the oil was old or they forgot about them in the basket. There were also little pieces that clearly had been fried more than once. The chicken breast on the club had very clearly been cooked on another day and put in a fridge for who knows how long, then re-heated. It tasted like a walk in cooler, if you've ever worked in the industry, you know what I mean. The bread and veggies were good so there's that. My cocktail was the highlight of the meal, that's for sure. Not terrible but I'll think twice next time.
I didn't bring in my library card it's at home.nThe staff said o you lost it Pay us $3 first n then we will replace it . Heaven forbid they take my driver's license as proof that I live in PA n that it s just extra time for me to go all the way home n back. If their goal is to MAKE the use of their services hard then they have succeeded. Not impressed . In Edmonton and Calgary n Other cities in 2025 if you have Valid Photo ID all the other libraries will honor that and help you w what a library is providing to the public . I did show them my driver's license but still they'd rather not give me my library card number so that I may get these important papers printed.nNot happy w them.
Stupidest library I have ever visited. Not even allowed to drink water
The librarians are the loudest ones in the library. They chat loudly and it's very difficult to work or read here. Not a quiet space, ironically because of the staff.
Friendly and helpful staff, convenient hours, and willing to help community groups. Good selection of materials in a variety of formats. What more could you ask for?
