Best pastry shop in the state! The donuts and cookies are incredible. The only thing better is the staff. You feel like a friend the second you walk in. Great people and great product. A destination shop for sure!
Searched hi and low for a last minute surprise Graduation Cake and Johan's had the chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and green and yellow decorations. The cake was delicious, everyone ate it and loved it. Thanks!

I thought I’d try them again. A few years ago you got absolutely incredible donuts- at fair prices. Today was - once again - donuts that had to be at least a day old. So for the “pleasure” of buying obviously old donuts, I got to pay $2.25 each. So much for trying to support local businesses.

HANDS. DOWN. Best danish, turnover and cinnamon roll I have ever had!! We stayed in Petoskey for a week and went to Johans 3 times. If you don’t come early, all of the turnovers and danishes go super quick! They were gone by 10am one day so we didn’t get any. But it’s just an excuse to keep us coming back :
Friendly and delicious! My favorite cookie was the Reese cookie. The cinnamon roll was soft for days and stayed that way for days as I slowly ate it. The guy that helped us was very nice. I'll be going back when I'm in Petoskey again!
Our favorite place to get donuts and a bagel. Made fresh each day. All the people that work there are such wonderful people!
If you have a sweet tooth this is the place to go everybody that works very very friendly and if you get a chance German chocolate brownies it is out of this world I would give it more stars if I could
