Really great experience, for both takeout and dine-in. I definitely recommend the crispy polenta truffle fries or the parm bread twist, and for entree, the spicy chicken pasta and the crab version is remarkable. The carrots, you gotta try the carrots. Overall, a lovely place to enjoy. Great service, too.
The food was great and the service was friendly. We had a nice relaxing time. For an appetizer, we ordered the Giant Garlic Parmesan Twist. This is so good you might consider ordering two and make it your meal For my entree, I had the Dungeness Crab Arrabbiata - Spicy vodka sauce, Calabrian chili, basil, chives, Dungeness crab, pecorino. ***** five stars ***** My spouse ordered Fettuccine Alfredo - Familiar alfredo sauce with fettucine. ***** five stars ***** Between the appetizer and the entrees, we were too stuffed to order dessert. But everything on that menu looked delicious, too. Many thanks to the chef and staff!
Great food; delivered to Earth and Vine downstairs. Brussel sprouts and polenta fries were excellent!Food: 5/5
Ordered two salads on opening night. Ordered the family Caesar which costs an even-expensive-for-Bainbridge price of $23! The small Kale salad was a more reasonable was $9 but it too was tiny. The Caesar was tasty with fresh Romaine, Parmesan, housemaid dressing and croutons. But $23? Not pleased. Update 6/24/20 - Owner did refund cost of meal. Hope it was just opening week jitters. Changed star rating to a 3. Thanks.
Terrible customer service and very inconsistent food quality. When my daughter and I came in, host said we’d need to wait to be seated as the servers were busy. There were four tables with people and the rest were open - the restaurant was almost empty and there were two servers. I suggested we wait while seated rather than stand in doorway. I ordered kale salad and was told second time this has happened to me that there was no kale. This time, I ordered another salad that came so swimming in dressing that it was not edible. The server asked if everything was okay and when I told her I couldn’t eat the salad due to so much dressing, she said “oh” and walked away. When she brought the check she told me the chef apologizes, but there had been no offer to remake it and I was charged full price for it so not sorry enough to do something to fix the experience. Only reason I am giving two stars is that my daughter’s pasta carbonara was good.
I love the roasted butternut squash pizza! The butternut squash is delectable aand sweetness, the bechemel sauce is divine, and the sage is a perfect complement. I was hesitant to order at first because squash on pizza just sounds weird but now I absolutely crave it on the regular. The polenta fries are super unique and delicious with the marinara sauce or you can choose ranch dressing I think. The kale salad is huge and I've had it as a appetizer, meal, or ordered the family size. The olive oil is high quality and has a great taste and the golden raisins go really well as well as the grated cheese is an excellent addition. I have never been disappointed by any of the pasta dishes, only I just feel I can overeat to the point of being overstuffed. The garlic twist on its own can be a meal and is always impressive in its size. My favorite cocktail there is the Cornelia, aspecialty French 75 perfected by Garrett. And the bartenders are always willing to whip up any request as long as they have the ingredients. They've had staffing difficulties like everywhere else so takeout for the time being may save frustration but I look forward to sitting out with that gorgeous view after this next Omicrom wave. In the meantime I'll be ordering my favorite pizza and getting my family's faves and filling my belly at home. Thankful to have this delicious option on island as it is unique and well done every time!
In spite of its lovely location and decor, this restaurant was deeply disappointing, especially for the price. They were out of bread and mushrooms of all things, and the dishes were under seasoned and uninspired. Save your money for better Italian fine dining elsewhere. Vegetarian options: Limited vegan options, fewer than previously listed Parking: Limited parking on the street
My brother took us here for dinner. It is a wonderful place for date night. The service was great and the food was amazing.Food: 5/5
appear the staff is inexperienced and get little or no direction of a supervisor to help to mentor the ethos of customer service or hospitality. Lots of I don't know, I don't think so without any follow-up. Appeared no type of supervisor or quality insurance to be found just a few trying to figure things out. The food was undeniable, some pasta dishes were not cooked or too mushy. The sauce tasted bitter but at the same time water down. The pizza was pepperoni overboard and was incredibly soggy with grease, it brought back memories of chuck e cheese; Very juvenile taste. No patio heaters nor umbrellas. It started to mist and signs of rain and the waiter told guest if it starts raining they will move them in a patio 20 feet away. There was 20 mins of eating in the dark because no one knew how to turn on the outside lights. I looked around and saw other people having lots of left overs and majority of the pizza untouched. If the staff has absolutely no direction I added additional star because they tried. It's a beautiful property but it's strange to see everything well thought out and designed but skipped out of hiring a manager with indepth experience
We have visited Joe’s approximately ten times and on each occasion the food and cocktails have been fantastic. The truffle polenta fries are delicious, as are the wings, pizzas, and bolognese. However the dish I’m really stuck on is the carbonara. It’s classic yet somehow not too eggy - beautifully done every time. My husband also loves the shiitake cacio e pepe. We enjoy bringing family and friends here when they’re in town!
