Got recommended by a local while we were there. Fun, lowkey place to have food and drinks! Didn't have a reservation and they kindly let us two in for a seat at the bar. Service was very friendly, loved seeing all the food being made as well! The mushroom toast with corn bread underneath was tasty, super rich and lots of different mushrooms Oysters were huge and very fresh. Would recommend those They had seafood tower platters that were very cool seeing being made. Will have to get that next time Would recommend the restaurant!
Absolutely delicious! The mussels and crabs were definitely my favourite from the tower, had a nice spicy kick to it. Such a nice little hidden bar, loved how private the booths are. The waiter was so friendly. He explained the menu and provide some suggestions based on what we like. If you are visiting Quebec City I would highly recommend you try this spot.
Great food!! The entry is very secretive, took me some time to find it. Lol! Bar view is fun. I had scallop salad, that is very good. And I really like the strawberry dessert, it has so many different layer and the flavor is really delicate!
Nice small resto with GREAT service and really good food and drinks. I am posting 4 photos: cocktail that my friend ordered I forgot what it was, a nice Chardonnay from CA, the 3 stack seafood starter a little too much for 2 people I think, my friend had no issues, I did! and the fish ceviche. Pricing for me was medium+. The place looks nice, the only thing I Hated was the loud music, I could barely hear my friend or the waitress when they spoke, and I am not hard of hearing! Will I come back, very likely, my friend lives close and she loves it! :
Pretty speakeasy vibes place, hidden entrance : Amazing drinks! Get the old fashioned. Our waitress Valerie was friendly and helped us with their cocktail menu. The lobster ravioli was delicious, and we loved the fried fish with the mango salad. Cant wait to come back and try other food on the menu!
My most memorable meal in QC. The staff here was all very nice. We had a nice seat at the bar and could see the team work their magic. Shoutout to the young man shucking the oysters talking with us a little bit. We started with the oysters and they were so good, very fair priced oysters. Next we got the scallops and the fried trout, the scallops were amazing but the fried trout was out of this world. I’ve eaten many a fried fish in my life because it’s one of my favorite meals but I’ve never had it like this, the flavor was so good and the skin texture and flavor was great. The strawberry dessert was great also. Yea this place is on the more expensive side but it was so worth it to me.
The first challenge was finding it. We had the address and an Uber, but weren't sure for at least 5 minutes. Our driver literally walked around the block, before he called them. The street was blocked in front of a non-descript entrance, highlighted only by a single light above it. Until you're there, you wouldn't notice the address or name high on the door in stick-on letters. There was a doorbell/intercom for entry. We entered a draped space and were told to wait. It all seemed contrived and intentionally mysterious, until we were allowed past the drapes. The bar/restaurant was right there, with no extraneous space for waiting patrons. Our host was courteous and polite, and even though our reservations made 2 months earlier were at the bar, we were assigned our own server. The small space was bristling with life. Besides the bartender, there were 3 chefs in a well organized and efficient open kitchen. Drink selections were good, with a number of house specialties. I had effectively a Manhattan, and my wife had an espresso martini. Both were tasty. We started with their ceviche, then some caviar, and finished with a whole fried sea bass. Dessert was cannaloni with ice cream. We also captured a picture of a seafood tower shared by the couple next to us. Execution, preparation and presentation was top shelf, very surprising for the confines. Well worth the trouble.
Exquisite cocktails and charming staff in a hidden facility. We went there only for drinks but their food also looked so great. Make a reservation before getting there. Also, when finding the address, don’t lose faith and keep going, yes it’s there ;
Delicious food menu and incredible house cocktail options. With a speakeasy feel and about 50 seats, it's a great place to hang out as a group of 4. I had a great time and the service was quick and attentive without being rushed or pushy.Food: 5/5
It was our first night ever in Quebec and we were lost and didn’t know exactly where the entrance was. We eventually found the grey door and were buzzed in. The bar has such an amazing atmosphere and we felt so welcomed by the staff Cristian and Justin and their great cocktails that we’ll definitely come back. Food was superb as well. I highly recommend this place.
