Very nice experience. Wait staff is very responsive. Food was delicious. Clam chowder was very tasty but wish it wash in a bowl instead of a mug. Had fish and chips. Nice flakey cod and crispy fries. Great IPA on tap. Had a very nice lunch for 6 people.
Fish and Chips were good Cod, the Onion Rings we're GREAT. The TWO piece fish price is good, but it's ridiculous to add $8 for the third piece or $10 extra for the Halibut. Service was GREAT, and it was even a busy time.
Great service and very clean restaurant. The food was good, but not out of this world. A good family restaurant to stop at that's reasonably priced.
We had a wonderful dining experience at JJ‘s tonight. The steamer and muscle combo was amazing, also enjoyed their clam chowder. Delicious! Yennifer made our dining experience even better! Thank you!! We would definitely encourage you to check out JJ‘s when you are visiting Poulsbo. Even a view of the harbor.
After having a bad experience at a different restaurant with tough fish and old chips, I was nervous about going to another casual fish restaurant. I relayed my experience to my waitress, and she recommended the crab cake burger. Oh baby, I am not a huge crab cakes fan, but these were GOOD. And the local craft beer that I got to go with the lunch was superb.
It was ... Meh. 3 stars because last time we went there is was good food and good service. This time didn't turn out so well. The food took a long time. The fries were not cooked properly. The smoked salmon pasta was delicious and the fish tacos were good. The JJ Burger was cooked beyond well done- we asked for medium. The Salmon focaccia was meh. Fishwich was good aside from the fact that the cheese wasn't melted.
Great location, great vibe, fun place to eat. The plastic outdoor patio chairs are old and terrible. I'm a bigger guy and just sat on the edge because I was afraid it would break. Service was okay, finally gave up on waiting for our check so went to the register. Chowder and onion rings were really good. The french fries were good but kinda mushy. I was pretty disappointed in the size or the price of the fish n chips. I ordered the 2 piece because it was like $6.50 more for the 3 piece. It was good but very small, 7 normal bites. I would not order it again if I was really hungry but I would try other things.
Very good. Seated outside right away. Server approached within 90 seconds and food came out in <5 minutes. Fish & chips were tasty, hot and fresh. Really liked the light tempura batter. The fries were outstanding. Appreciated the both/and cole slaw addition w/o the either fries or slaw choice many restaurants impose. Only complaint was that the fish was a tad greasy - might benefit from a longer drain time before plating.
Local people recommended this place. We had a chowder, a crab cake Berger, a J&J Berger. Food were good as well as the service. I would like to go back and try their fish and chips next time! Great for the whole family and small groups. Outdoor seating available during warm weather. Parking can be challenging.
J.J's Fish House is a delight. The staff was very prompt and very friendly. The salmon that we ordered was succulent and tasty. The view is wonderful and the locals eating here is a sign that the food is very good. The main problem with Seattle is that there are so many good seafood places, J.J's fish house is still standing for a reason
