Best dining experience one can expect from such a modest yet thoughtfully designed menu. There are two needs a meal can satisfy: physiological hunger and psychological yearning. It is much easier to fill the hunger than fulfill the heart. JiangYun Noodle House takes care of both with aplomb! I was surprised how a humble yet richly flavored bowl of vegetarian rice noodles at lunch kept me fully satisfied for the rest of the afternoon. Most times, I'd become hungry within 2 hours. The other thing worth noticing is its artistic decor - who'd expect that at a noodle house? Highly recommend!
Feels like home! I'm so glad this noodle shop opened. The food tastes home cooked and the flavours are spectacular. Really enjoyed the personal atmosphere as the owner and cook came to greet us and chat. She's lovely and kind. I really enjoyed the beef noodles and ate it so quickly because it was so delicious! Love the flavours of home away from home.
Cutest spot! Ordered the beef soup with wheat noodles, that were do delicious, and the vegetarian dish. It was a great amount of food for the price and everything’s homemade. We were definitely stuffed by the end. The house blended tea was amazing! The spot is really cozy and comfortable. The staff was super attentive, and knowledgable. Will definitely go back again to try the tiramisu.
Amazing noodle house! Everything in this restaurant is quality designed, not only the delicious food, but also the the tableware and the environment. I keep it on my top list.
I visited Jiangyun Noodle House recently, and my experience left much to be desired. Firstly, the lack of air conditioning made the dining environment quite uncomfortable, especially on hot days. Additionally, the absence of free parking added an inconvenience factor. The menu, unfortunately, didn't offer a wide variety of choices, limiting the options available. While the food was decent and tasted okay, it didn't stand out as exceptional. One notable aspect that caught my attention was the minimum 18% tip setting by default. While tipping is customary, having it preset at such a high rate might not sit well with everyone.
We are so happy that Dandan has followed her dream to open a beautiful Noodle House here in Victoria, British Columbia. The service was excellent. My wife ordered the roasted chicken noodle dish. She said it was fantastic, a 10 out of 10! We ordered the special herbal tea with dates, licorice and goji berries. It's so amazing I'd rather drink it than a glass of red wine! For dessert, we shared the snowflake bites. Not too sweet, chewy, and so delicious! Beautiful atmosphere and lovely music. We will be back for another amazing meal and seriously "you gotta eat here"!!! Vegetarian options: We started our meal by sharing the pickled vegetable dish. It was delicious and refreshing. I had the vegetarian noodle dish with lots of tofu and fresh veggies. It was perfect. Dietary restrictions: Our server, Jason, asked if we had any food allergies. Gluten free option with choice of wheat or rice noodles to accompany your noodle dish. Kid-friendliness: When we arrived around 5:30 p.m. there was a table of four, a couple with their two, very well-behaved, young girls. Wheelchair accessibility: The most beautiful wheelchair accessible bathroom. Lots of room to accommodate someone in a wheelchair.
Went in here today, so good! The best in the city hands down that I have tried. The atmosphere is cozy and feels like a living room. One of the owners served us. She was very friendly and attentive and told us that everything is made on site. Prices were great, did I mention the food was incredible. To top it off she gave is each a freshly made vanilla macaron for dessert. Pretty sure the staff are not bakers trained in France, but that level of quality, texture and flavour.
What a vibe! This is the afternoon tea you've been looking for. Incredible attention to detail, very kind and so delicious. We're so happy they've opened here and are offering something special and different. Loved it! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly with rice or wheat noodles available for all dishes.
Really nice authentic Chinese restaurant speaking as a Chinese who grew up in China. I've tried 3 of their noodle dishes one of which is not on the regular menu and the dumplings, and they are all very good and authentically Chinese. I also tried the Tiramisu and a special Easter Bunny dessert - they are western desserts and some of the best desserts I've had. The photos are of the special Easter Bunny dessert.
Excellent fusion food cooked and served by the very kind owner, Dandan. The generously portioned grilled pork noodle dish that I had incorporated Chinese sauce, Middle Eastern dried fruits and nuts, tasty radish, and more delicious pickled vegetables on the side. The gai lan also helped bring lovely freshness to the dish. Her whole wheat scones had a deep flavor that went very well with the small rich tiramisu. Also, try the laksa when it goes on the menu, wow! I felt like I was back in Malaysia or Singapore. The snowflakes bites were amazing. They had a texture I've never had before that was both squishy and crunchy at the same time. Having salty and sweet to alternate between was a great contrast The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming, the chairs and tables invite you to sit down and stay. Our host told us about how she wants this place to become a community spot where people can come in and be happy, where she will also host little events.
