I was at Herzl yesterday and had my 4th vaccination. I read reviews before I went and there were positive and negative reviews. As soon as my daughter and I went in the building, the lady right after we entered guided us where to go. At the 2nd floor the receptionist asked for my medical card and told us where to go. The guy who was there was kind and even got a chair for me since all chairs were occupied. He led me to the guy who asked for my medical card then some questions and finally was led to Marichelle Vitangcol. She was kind and luckily we are both from the Philippines which made me comfortable and not too afraid with the vaccination. I didn't feel any pain after she told me to breathe in. It was flawless. She was accommodating as well because I and my daughter had a lot of questions after the vaccination. She even offered her advise on when is the best time for my grandson to be vaccinated. I had a very good encounter and experience with the hospital staff and that's the reason I gave them a five ***** star review.
I tried for over 2 months to reach the Herzl clinic to have a prescription renewed and I can’t reach them. They make you wait for over an hour on hold then the call just drops. I called the operator and was told that no one at the Jewish answers calls. That is our health care system in Quebec
Worst clinic in Montreal, they ignore your calls, misplace medical results. So difficult to have any sort of follow up because they make it hard, never the same doctor, well interns actually. I don’t wish it on my worst enemy to be treated in that clinic. Horrible.
A horrifying clinic. I don't know how Quebec allows them to operate. They do not answer their phone. I took me more than 15 attempts to reach someone. The receptionist provided me with online access and an appointment. Fast forward to today, they cancelled my appointment via a text. When I go back in to log-in, the site tells me I'm not able to book online. Now, I need to try to reach them again which will most likely take another 15 attempts. At this point, my goal is to ask them to remove me as a patient so I can put myself on the Family Doctor Waiting List in QC. The worst is I don't even have a doctor here - they assign me whatever resident is on call. An awful experience. PLEASE avoid. The only reason I am considered a patient at this clinic was because when I requested medical attention at Dawson College years ago, they sent me here and now all of a sudden QC considers them to be my family doctor. Nightmare.
Worst clinch I’ve been to. Even with an appointment you gotta wait for hrs. Our health system is not good but this place takes all the credit for being the worst
The person who answers your phones is rude and deliberately unhelpful. I was calling just to make sure I had proper directions to find the right office - IN A HOSPITAL. First, because I was calling about a booster appointment, she kept cutting me off and telling me I had the wrong number and I had to call ClicSante. When I finally managed to get her to stop interrupting me long enough to ask my question, all she would tell me is "Whatever the email said, that's where it is." The email just says "Herzl Covid-19 Vaccination clinic - 2nd floor", with the street address, which again - is a whole gd hospital wing. I had to google to find even the phone number. If I go to the wrong spot and I'm more than 10 minutes late, I'm going to lose my appointment slot. So knowing exactly where to go is kind of important. All she had to do was confirm that her office location was indeed the vaccine clinic there's more than 1 Herzl medical office on Côte-Des-Neiges, and how to get there from the street. This was asking too much of her, apparently, and she hung up. I've seen other reviews suggesting she quit her job if she hates it so much. I'd strongly recommend that she quits it whether she hates it or not; This type of person really needs to work in an environment where there is zero contact with the public, ever. N.B: I waited to post this until after my appointment, because she seems like the type who would jerk patients around just to amuse herself - and I didn’t want her to see my name before I arrived. I have to say, whoever runs this place really needs to fire the person who answers the phones. She is such a bad representation of your overall operation. I had interactions with 6 different people when I came for my appointment, and each and every one of them was just absolutely lovely. It was super efficient and I was in and out in under 5 minutes not counting the 15 you need to wait after the jab. I was ready to say people should avoid this place, but actually being there was not an unpleasant experience at all. I am sticking with a 1 star rating though, because anyone who needs to visit your clinic and needs information will need to deal with her. She is a stain on an otherwise well-managed facility. You should really consider fixing that.
I only went there once because my doctor switched clinics, but my impression was pretty awful. The administrative staff have nasty attitudes. When I arrived to the reception, there was already another patient so I waited behind her for a good 4-5 minutes. As soon as the receptionist is done with her, she takes out a big piece of cardboard and covers the reception window entirely. She didn't even look at me once. Not a "sorry its my break" or "sorry sir, no need to wait" or anything really. But the worst part is their hellish telephone system. Its just horrible. The pre-recorded message tells me they're very busy, bla bla bla press 0 to get on the waitlist. I do so, and it starts ringing. After a few rings, the exact same message plays again. I press 0 again, and same thing happens. What kind of bs is this? I just need a human to answer. Instead I'm stuck in a endless loop!!
To my surprise, I heard my name called a few minutes after my arrival at the clinic. The nurse, Bruce, was very considerate and professional during the triage process and later in performing the injection for a blood test. I was also impressed by the doctor who I met for my consultation. He was very attentive and made sure to prescribe all the necessary tests. Thank you for making my visit to the clinic a pleasant one.
This is the listing for the Herzl Family Practice Centre for people who have a family doctor, not for the Herzl CRIU walk-in clinic for people without an appointment or for the Jewish General Hospital as a whole. I've been going to Herzl for years. The doctors are residents, so every two years you get a new family doctor who is supervised by a more experienced doctor. The wait times can be a bit long on busy days and the doctors are a bit inexperienced in their first few months of residency, but the doctors, nurses and receptionists have always been very kind and thorough in trying to help with whatever issue I had. When my usual doctor wasn't available, I was able to get an appointment with someone else or speak to a nurse over the phone. The clinic is connected to the Jewish General Hospital, so you can get any testing done fairly quickly. 2019: The main receptionists are often too busy having personal conversations to pay attention to someone waiting to register. 2020 update: Service has really gone downhill lately. No one ever answers the phone, so good luck getting an appointment. 2022 updates: Service has drastically improved over the past year. I'm pleasantly surprised. Receptionists actually consistently answer phone calls and emails now, without a long wait, which was unheard of a few years ago. Although there are never appointments available on the Herzl patient portal or on Rendez-vous santé Québec, I'm usually able to book appointments by phone. I can usually also book an emergency consultation through the portal within two business days. Also, doctors leave follow-up messages and documents on the portal now, which is helpful. Most nurses and doctors also follow up over the phone for test results. Unfortunately, most appointments never start or end on time, so I always miss a lot of work. The residents have to check in with their supervisors before signing off on a treatment plan, so when a supervising doctor is busy, I've ended up waiting over an hour before being allowed to leave...
The receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional beyond belief wow. She was talking to her coworkers, answered her phone twice and then yelled at me in front of everybody when I asked a question. If you cant handle the stress of being a receptionist then quit, not my problem if you're stressed and take it out on patients. Do your job properly.
