For me this is my go-to sub shop. Even though it's 35 minutes away, still the same quality as the USA. They have a well-oiled machine here in Markham. Great stuff! Great crew great manager didn't want to enter because the line was too long but then I realized how fast it was moving.nGod talking to the owner and it looks like they're not going to franchise for Canada as they like to keep control of a heavily stuffed establishment with good work ethic as lots of that dies when you do franchise.nThe sub I got the giant the Italian one with all the mix-ins of the Italian cold cuts and added bacon to it. And of course you have to get at Mike's way. It's like going to McDonald's getting a Big Mac without the Mac sauce. It's just a must. Very fulfilling a little expensive but you pay for quality. I know what makes a key is fresh. Cut cold cuts. I have to stomach and try the Philly one day but for now the cold ones are great for me
First time visiting a Canadian location, been to Jersey Mike's in the USA many times and the subs have always been fantastic.nnToday I went with my daughter and she ordered a regular turkey and provolone cheese sub and I ordered the same but Giant size.nnThe staff were very good for the most part, the employee who made my sub, I had to repeat which toppings I wanted which was all of them. Not sure how the disconnect happened, but no big deal.nnI also wanted a small glass for water from the fountain but they charged me a soft drink cup, even though my daughter does not drink any sweet drinks. Not sure why they don't have little glasses for water, like their competition does?nnMy real only complaint was the number of fruit flies all over the bread and the sub assembly area.. I was able to photograph a large fruit fly enjoying some bread behind the protective glass. My daughter and I also noticed seven fruit flies flying around our subs when we were eating. This shouldn't be happening at any establishment that sells food in my opinion.nnIncluded the photos of the bread with a fruit fly on it.
I was very excited to see Jersey Mike's opening in Markham. They make a great sandwich. I had the Giant size Italian sub Mike's Way, it's large enough for 2 people to share so the cost is fine.nRoast Beef is a must try, it's a real roast med-rare that they slice the meat off of. Just don't get it mikes way, get mayo+dijon + sauteed mushroom+onion.nI thought the cheese slice was too thin, i would add extra cheese next time.
So we first tried Jersey Mikes in North Carolina in 2023. It was a revelation. I was so impressed with the quality! We had it again twice more before we left.nnWas very excited to find this location opening and today we tried it for the first time.nnEverything was excellent! We were so happy that it lived up to our expectations from our visits in the states!nnEverything was super fresh and the service was quick and very friendly! Happy to see the Mini sizes!nnWe will definitely be coming back. Hope the service and quality keeps up!nnGreat job.
Such an exciting arrival to markham. The viral subs, i am happy to say are worth itnnThe gigantic size is actually enormous. Could actually feed myself and both my kids.nnIt’s loaded with meat and veggies and doused with salt / pepper and oil / vinegar. Because of the latter, it’s best co aimed asap to prevent it from getting soggy.nnBut either way, crispy crunch from the lettuce, meat soaked with all that flavouring and the meat being fresh cut from the slicernnService is quick, even with a line up. They blow through customers fairly quickly. I do have to say though that I didn’t wait long, but people ordering hot subs did wait a little longer than me.nnAnd the two things not to pass up on is the red pepper jelly AND the chocolate chip cookiennGreat job overall
