Located on Tawas Point, Jerry's Marina offers a natural refuge for boaters.

Story

The harbor is within walking distance of Tawas Point State Park, the lighthouse, and three miles of sandy beaches. Conveniences include slips side parking, heated and air-conditioned bathrooms with showers, and free Internet access. Jerry's operates as a full service marina with over 200 boat slips, complete repair and service department, parts and accessories. We sell new and used boat and motors and offer rentals as well. In addition to these services we offer fully renovated cottages and executive homes provided under Timberlane Resorts.

Referred by relatives and local neighbors to take my boat there, after taking it already to the Boat Doc finding out a suggested speed wheel doesn't exist smh. Anyway, my boat needed simple overview of maintenance. Owner at Jerry's advised the person I had drop the boat off, they are busy but will fit it in over the next couple of weeks no problem or issues. Couple weeks go by, I receive no update or hear from Jerry's. So I called and a associate answers seemingly clueless to any info regarding the boat, or work required. Advises me it looks to be another 2 weeks and will look at it then having an update for me. Couple weeks go by no contact again, I call yesterday and the same gentleman answers with the same clueless acknowledgement or estimated timeline. However, he proceeds to tell me it looks like a month from now getting the boat in being so busy, and employing just one mechanic. In addition, he proposes if I can do them a favor by taking the boat off their hands to another repair dealer now lol. Also, he expressed the owner told the person dropping my boat off originally , they didn't really want the work. Supposedly, the story by them goes "another guy/rep at Jerry's said he would look at the boat." But come to find out this guy only works on the weekends there without a set schedule in their most recent explanation, as I'm already waiting a month now. All I ask like any other customer is to be upfront, have a realistic service timeline from the start, and appreciate having the business, etc. Instead, I get a arrogant, cocky, clownish ownership/staff...being they been around so long there and so forth. Needless to say, it was picked up today and dropped off at another Mercury dealer in Hubbard Lake, which will be inspected for maintenance/speed timing next week :) You see Jerry, we customers have options too, and I'm glad to have done you a favor. Sounds like Tawas could use another boat repair shop...probably do well being so much business in that area. Jerry's Marina doesn't seem to care much, if anyone is thinking of opening one.

Love there service, location and boat slips. A full service marina with a very helpful staff who work hard to insure their customers are pleased without spending a fortune.

I've been going to Jerry's for years now and renting cabins/boats/jet skis and having a blast. I would recommend Jerry's Marina to anyone looking for great service, a relaxed outdoor environment and an all around good time.
