We stayed overnight in Tofino and chose this highly rated Korean restaurant near our hotel. The restaurant was decorated with many small lights outside, which looked especially warm on this cold night. The seating inside the restaurant was limited, but the decor was simple and beautiful. Their menu selection was very different from typical Korean restaurants, with few options to choose from. We ordered octopus, dumplings, and fried potato noodles. The plates and presentation were beautiful, the octopus was very fresh, but there were only a few pieces. The dumplings had too little filling, so the texture was not good. The ingredients in the fried noodles were abundant, and the noodles were chewy with delicious seasoning. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience, but the price was high and the portions were small. However, if you're visiting this area, it's still worth a try.
The fact a Korean restaurant this good can be found in a tiny town like Tofino is remarkable. I live in central London UK and am spoilt for choice when it comes to Asian food- I have 3 Korean restaurants within a 5 min walk of where I live. None of them come close to how good this place is. Food was delicious. We ordered a number of different dishes and shared them. The only bad thing I can say about the food was the tuna kimchi rice was too spicy for the average person to enjoy, my wife could only handle a few mouthfuls. That said it was still delicious and I would still recommend it, just be warned!
This was our favourite meal in all of tofino. Very modern, Korean based dishes that have beautifully fresh seafood and vegetarian flavors. I would recommend this above many of the other top rated places in town. Food 9.5/10 Service 9/10 Atmosphere 9/10 Value 9/10
I got incredible dishes. The taste is twisted Korean and Western. Everything was amazing!! The chef is super talented!! Thank you for giving us good memories. I am very proud to know this restaurant.
Very nice atmosphere, staff very helpful in choosing food that is amazing to try. We ate out in their patio. Even it was raining they have over head heaters to keep us comfortable outside. Blankets for your lap if it's not enough. Very nice place to eat. Food is Amazing and fast service.Food: 5/5
Fantastic food, friendly service, highly recommended! My husband and I were visiting from Toronto are both foodies. Our niece, who lives in Tofino, highly recommended Jeju...and we can see why! Wow. We were both blown away. The food is so SOOOOO GOOD. Every single dish we had was unbelievably delicious and also beautifully presented. Our fave: the Korean BBQ short ribs my mouth is watering just remembering how good those were.
So good. Best restaurant in Tofino proper, by a mile. You can wait in a lineup at WITF, or you can roll up here, a block away, and have an amazing meal. Their staff is kind, hospitable, & attentive. Their food is delicious. My last international trip prior to 2020 was to Seoul and this place gave me a nostalgic smile. The best thing is their use of local ingredients in the changing menu. For this visit I had their octopus, perfectly cooked and delicate flavour, their KFC, which was a crispy Gojuchang style, their japchae, which was the star with fresh veggies and perfect noodles, and their soondubu, which was filled with seafood and perfectly spiced. Definitely recommend!
Loved Jeju we were seated very quickly and got served right away. Great service from the staff I suggest ordering food to share. We had the fried chicken which was really good and not greasy at all! The Bibimbap was very tasty but I think it should be served warmer maybe I’m spoiled for loving dolsot style. Japche is so good but this one was a little bit sweeter than I’m used to. Definitely will be back. We loved it here
Some friends of ours had visited Tofino a week before we did and they told us we had to try JeJu. They were 100% correct! We could only get reservations for a late dinner, but going in hungry probably elevated the experience. The staff were all super nice and knowledgable about the items on the menu. We decided to start with the Fried Chicken and ordered the Denver Steak and the Sung Style Ribs. Our server told us that all items were made in house, including the sauces. The gochujang sauce that came on the Fried Chicken was outstanding! It was less sweet than the store bought stuff with a much more delicate taste. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We have not had a chicken this tender or juicy, especially considering that they use white meat. The portion was also a healthy size even when shared by two. The Denver Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. It also came with all the ingredients you need to make single bite lettuce wraps. The homemade ssamjang sauce was just as flavourful and delicate as the gochujang that came with the Fried Chicken. Our personal favourite were the Sung Style Ribs. Our server told us that the recipe for these ribs was created by the owner of the restaurant. These ribs were nearly fall off the bone with just the right amount of bite. The meat was super tender without disintegrating in your hands. The sauce was flavourful and paired really well with the greens and rice that came on the side. Our server recommended a Korean pear juice to go with our meal. It was refreshing and not quite as sweet or acidic as apple juice, which made it perfect for such a warm day. We plan on coming back to Tofino regularly as an in country vacation spot; when we do, JeJu will be one of the first places we come back to for sure!
Amazing food. The chef came out and checked on how things were, service was awesome. We had most things on the menu. Fried chicken was killer. Food was hot, fast and crazy delicious. Food was so fast that it was molten lava hot. Best to let it cool down a bit.
