One of my favourite places to go. Just to browse or buy flowers, olives, fresh fruit or garden gear.nnBest to go in summer for the full market experience or fall, when the autumn vegetables are available. Pumpkin season is my favourite!nnVery accessible, though crowds make it difficult to maneuver at peak hours.nnPerfect date spot, lots of options, enjoy local vendors and artists live music and buskers
This market is a great spot for both shopping and a casual outing. It’s spacious and well laid out, making it easy to navigate — even with a stroller. There’s a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, so it’s perfect for doing your weekly produce run.nnI also loved that there are several patisseries nearby for a quick breakfast or snack, plus a coffee shop just around the corner — very convenient. Parking is available underground, which is a big plus, especially in bad weather.nnThe public washrooms were reasonably clean and had a baby changing table, which is always appreciated. There are also some tables available if you want to sit and enjoy your food on the spot.nnAnother bonus: every place I visited accepted credit cards, so no need to worry about carrying cash. Overall, it’s a very family-friendly and functional market — definitely worth a visit.
Jean Talon market never disappoints. It’s vibrant and unique, a sure way to start the weekend. Fresh fish, crêpes, bread, pastries and so much more for a quick meal in between.nnThe merchants are always friendly and welcoming. Feels like we’re all one big family.nnThe produce are fresh and every stall has their unique ways of displaying.nnCash or cards are accepted.nnThe market can get quite busy. It’s valuable to experience the vibrant environment and culture of this community.
Great market for both fruits and veggies plus a large fresh plant section. The nicest produce ,beautifully presented. Most are locally sourced. The vendors are friendly and helpful, and most accept credit card payments. Super nice way to send a morning or afternoon. There are also cheese and meat purveyors.
The best way I ca describe this by saying that everything is joyful and beautiful. People are relaxed and happy. The products are first quality. A wonderful place to spend a couple of hours strolling around and tasting delicious food.
