It is a fantastic facility that is spacious and incredibly clean. It feels very homey. It has spacious bathrooms and many amenities. The food is good.Rooms: 5/5
Been here since it reopened July 23, 2021 and this is the place to be if you or your family is going through Cancer. Very supportive and caring. The renovations are great a few glitches like the laundry room need better washer and dryers suitable for being used every day from multiple people and need tv's in guest rooms or would be a bonus. Great people here <3
Update: Nice new facility. Still many smokers and cigarette butts. Enabling such awful behavior. Original post: And as I predicted, expanded capacity means more smokers to the Fairview area. Would be great if people staying at or visiting this lodge would respect the neighboring buildings, refrain from smoking, and stop littering their butts. No cigarettes, no cancer. Hmmm... Now there's a concept for you out of town folk.
Great place to stay the staff is awesome they go above and beyond for their clients, the meals are pretty good kitchen staff very accommodating thank you for being there for me when I needed the most ! Carlota, Jessica you guys made my stay so comfortable and stress free...
Warm, friendly and skilled staff make this a beautiful place to stay during a time of duress. I am so grateful for this place and the people who run it.
I am currently staying here while I am being treated for cancer. It's always scary to be somewhere away from home for any length of time but this place takes away the fear. All the staff are so nice and we get 3 meals a day. If you have no tastebuds and eat like a bird but don't mind begging for more then the food will do. Rooms are cleaned regularly and they are nice and quiet. All the guests here are here for the same reason so there are no attitudes, just friendly support. Worth looking into. It's also very convenient to everything and Freemason Volunteers will drive you to your appointments.
Everyone was very friendly and upbeat. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable. It was chilly in the room and we appreciated the blankets in the closet. The bathroom was clean and I love the shower. T felt like home. Thank you so much. Laurie
I took someone here who was diagnosed with cancer. It is very conveniently located kitty corner from the Cancer Agency where parking was significantly cheaper. The staff were exceedingly helpful and comforting. If I had cancer, I would prefer staying here over a 5 star hotel because the staff are very understanding of the terrifying path cancer patients must navigate, and they know how to allay fears and keep things positive and hopeful for patients. The support is wonderful! The accommodations are adequate with single beds, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. A nice dining room where you can help yourself to buffet meals or make yourself coffee or toast, or heat up items in microwave. There are also libraries and quiet rooms. TV rooms are in far corners that are easily accessible, but far enough aside that TV noise won't disturb others. I was very comfortable here.
Absolutely the best place for Vancouver general hospital patients to stay while receiving treatments. Pricing is great, staff are fantastic and yes food rocks.
Awesome place and awesome staff. Staff are very helpfull and friendly. All around a great experience. I could go on forever about how good they all are here at the lodge. Very humbling. Cheers Ladies & Gentleman, keep up the excellent work that you all do there.
