Seafood chowder was incredible! We consumed 2 lbs. of shrimp. Food arrived quicker than anticipated. Staff very attentive and accommodating. At request, garlic butter provided along with Old Bay hot sauce! Delicious. Can't wait to visit again!
Shrimp shack I guess has new owners? Ate their in the summer it was terrible not the same at all. Watch who you tip there is a girl who we watched just pocket the money.
Best shrimp west of the Mississippi…..I mean east. The worker liked me and gave me a free 1/4 pound of shrimp on top of a plentiful serving i bought. Free things should have a favor in return so I tipped them 15$ plus the original credit card tip. Make sure to tip$$$$:
My sisters and I went here. We got the peel-&-eat shrimp and smoked whitefish dip from the Shrimp Shack and Margaritas from inside the bar. They have a nice outdoor seating area that was playing island music. Fun place! Only thing was the colorful language from the really young girl at the Shrimp Shack when I asked where they get their smoked whitefish from. I wasn’t asking for their dip recipe. Just wanted a local source for buying smoked whitefish in the area. She wouldn’t tell me. The other girl that waited on us was really nice and waitress inside the bar was awesome!
Crab legs were awesome, clam chowder awesome, live music also awesome. All together it made for a nice evening out!
Amazing bar great people and staff the shrimp shack has great food and prices so friendly live music keno pull tabs and more I definitely recommend stopping in and having a drink with one of the best bartenders Houghton lake has to offer
Shrimp Shack was a great night out! We had a basket of tasty shrimp and some Cajun crab dip. Washed it all down with some margaritas while the band played a great line up of new and old favorites! Check out the upcoming bands on their Facebook page!
Been there 1 time the shirmp is great. Called to see how long they were serving tonight, till 10oclock unless it storm's. Get dressed go there no storm's for 2 lbs of shrimp and 2 soups . The cook come out says sorry were closed. When I called I tried to place a order oh we can't do that you have to come in . wow just wow
Bay shrimp was tasty, however the shrimp are very tiny, which means lots peeling. Tasty coleslaw, worst turkey sandwich of my life. We enjoyed the live music.
Go inside, get a tasty adult beverage, but do not leave without visiting the Shrimp Shack for some shrimpies... Soooooo good.
