Last month I finally brought in my 1988 Chevy 1500 truck to the west end JBs for a full-on engine swap, cooling system upgrade and full fuel EFI system upgrade. Byron, Fern and Ian were some of the best guys to work with on the whole project. They knew exactly what will work with existing components, etc. Byron was very diligent on making sure things were being charged accordingly and I wasn’t being double charged for parts I bought in the winter. He also had ideas for parts on the build that saved me quite a bit of money and was most knowledgeable on sourcing them. He also had his take and provided great ideas on the aesthetics for the engine bay final layout. Fern was my engine builder who produced the torque monster that I’ve been wanting since 2001. Not to mention working with my OCD on blinging it out not his taste, lol. I know by taking his advise to go for a quality build would pay off in the end. Ian was the installer who put it all together with impeccable attention to the details I requested for the end result to be, even all the way down to how the wiring was laid out and custom brackets to mount the horn assembly. I wasn’t disappointed see photos. I always have questions for these guys and they have and always will step up to the plate to answer them. They’re 2nd to none in this business and I won’t be going anywhere else for more performance builds or more additions to this one. They also installed my Beltech drop kit on the same truck last year. Went in today to buy a cheap advertised radar detector. Buddy would not sell it to me, said you need this 499$ dollar one. Walked right out. Reviews were great on that cheap radar detector. Will buy it from Amazon now. Try to support local and they pull this. Will never step foot in that store again. Edit no it was not out of stock he pointed right at it. Don't lie to try and make this look better. I already bought it from Amazon, cheaper than your boxing day deal. I hope more people make sure to check around. Mopac is a WAY better to deal with pro stock is even better yet.
I was having issues with my astro remote starter. Both my fobs were pretty much done. I phoned Matt on a Sunday and he assured me he had 2 in stock and he was kind enough to guide me the right way as to how to program the fobs to my vehicle. Very impressed, I own and run a automotive shop definitely will be returning and buying more stuff for my shop.
Not a bad store, has a lot of cool products all right there but their communication and policy’s are not good at all. Bought a whole audio setup from them and a tuner a few months back and have nothing but problems, first the amp, bought it from the discount table and was not told I could not return discounted items and when I go to use the amp it does not work at all, next is the sub when plugged in also plays nothing at all and I even had it serviced at JB’s and they charged me $50 and it did not fix a single thing and I had to take it to certified radio. Last is the tuner, bought it and plugged it into my OBD port and it did not turn on and when I plugged it into another vehicle it turned on and just said error and wouldn’t leave the error screen. So I decided it would be easiest to return all the items and buy different products and when I go in I’m greeted with rude service saying I can’t return on that day due to it being “Boxing Day” so I come back the next day after an hour drive there and they tell me I can’t return them or anything so now I’m stuck with broken items and nothing to do. So now down $1800.
Super knowledgable fast shipping fair pricing in stock. Bought some "Redhorse" branded AN fittings and oil line. Would like to see more "Russell" branded products available but that's just cuz of the name... lol

So I've been getting my 1ton work truck worked on here. They've been very accommodating with me and getting my work done quick. Their mechanic Justin who has been the one doing all my work has be amazing with explaining everything. He works really hard to get my truck done on time with very short notice. He's done lots of work on my truck and always checks in with me to make sure everything is good and I'm happy! I honestly couldn't have found a better mechanic to be working on my truck! He's one of those guys that you would follow to get work done if he ever left! I look forward to working with jbs power center in the future and have Justin work on my vehicle from here on out!
Everytime i am in JB's, Byron eventually comes and asks if i have any questions, i always do, and we always seemingly go out to look at my project of the day. He ALWAYS makes super solid suggestions. Today he saved me a few hundred bucks and a trip or two back. Whether its custom headlights for my skyline or a sound system for my truck, Byron has some great experience and advice. Keeps me coming back! Not often you get service like that.
