Good place to stop on the way home from the cottage. We ordered the large fry $8, regular poutine $7.50 and Onions Rings $6 med fry size. Onion rings were great. Poutine had lots of gravy but not enough cheese curds. Fries were standard fry truck fare, nothing special but they hit the spot. There are picnic tables to dine at. No take out containers for condiments.
Amazing stop that my friends and I were glad to have made. We came in without any expectations and were blown away. The poutine is massive. We regret not having taken a photo of the food before we started, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to make this review. The people inside were wonderful too, my hats off to them for being able to be so pleasant and cheerful despite the bus not having AC. The only downside is that this place only accepts cash, but there is an ATM at the Ultramar gas station right beside it. Definitely worth making a stop again in the future on the way up north or back. Vegetarian options: Mushrooms and more but didn't order. Veggie burger. Parking: 7+ spots.
I've never had such perfect onion rings in my entire life, bravo. Poutine was very good, fries are pretty crispy for the most part and the gravy tastes good. Solid.Food: 5/5
I wished they melted the cold cheese before they put the hot gravy on, so the fries stays hot $13. The burger was piping hot though $10!!! Just burger, and the ordering process was needlessly rough for everyone there. But it’s a fun place to have that nostalgia for food truck fairgrounds type experience but it’s a far drive for the food. No plastic, cash only.
Most excellent food truck, the fries are perfect- they offer several different poutine' not to mention burgers, pulled pork etc. *UPDATE* Open and busy as they should be! As usual lots of unique poutine offerings and now they're serving smashed burgers $9.50 for 2 smashed burger patties with 2 slices of cheese, absolutely delicious! You should visit
We have made it a tradition in our family to stop at Jax's on the way home from out annual family Cottage trip. The Poutines are amazing! We love the Classic Poutine & the Buffalo chicken poutine! The Buffalo chicken has great flavour & is nice & crispy. This year we tried the battered mushrooms, they were delicious, little pricey for the amount you get, bit still good! The service is friendly & efficient. Highly recommend for some good poutine.
We tried the Peameal on a Bun and the Breakfast Poutine. The Peameal was a good portion and who knew Tatter Tots would make a good Poutine.... Overall everything tasted good and was worth the wait as there was a bit of a lineup and wait.
These poutine's are very large, I can never finish let alone eat half of it. The gravy is very yummy but never enough in ur poutine so I always order a side of gravy as well. I ordered a burger but disappointed that it is a frozen product. I do look forward to trying other options from the menu.
