Jax Cafe

We held the groom's dinner for my daughter's wedding at Jax, and it could not have been more perfect! From the start of planning through the evening of the dinner, the service was highly personalized. The food was spectacular (one of the grandparents commented "this is the best walleye I've ever had!"), the atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the service staff was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend Jax for special family events!

Extraordinary place. Staff was very inventive and friendly. Even if the member wasn't your waiter, they would still engage in conversation and make sure I was being taken care of . The food was delicious and hot . I loved environment of it all , very elegant and welcoming. The pricing is a little expensive, on average per person it was approx $60. It was well worth it though .

I've been to Jax twice now - once for Valentine's Day and once for a birthday party. I must say, the place does fine dining quite well. From great wine suggestions from the waitstaff, to juicy, perfectly cooked steaks, and mouth-watering dessert selection, you won't walk away disappointed. This service is on point. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny, but you will absolutely get what you pay for. They greet you with a smile and treat you like royalty throughout your stay. It's truly a great place for a special occasion.

An impromptu last minute late dinner turned into the best meal I’ve had in ages. I never write reviews but this was something special. The only thing better than the food was the service. I highly recommend this restaurant, worth every penny.

I’ve known about Jax for years and always heard very good things about this place. I finally made it a point to stop in and try it out. First thing, how did I not know about their happy hour specials before?!? They have some great happy hour specials and if you want a reason to try out Jax but not certain you want to fully dive in. Try their HH, great specials with food and drinks. I dove in head first and I had to try the New York strip, phenomenal. I work at a place that has a high end restaurant and theirs is hands down a step above ours. The ambiance is classic and traditional. The staff is friendly and maybe more importantly, knowledgeable of both the food and drinks offered. It is a jewel in the city that I wish I had tried years ago! Thank you to Mary, Lisa, and Peter for the great service and perfect recommendations.
