I was a bit hesitant to go to this place as I was afraid it might be too fancy and expensive, but my mind changed as soon as I entered. This is the place for anyone who appreciates coffee and want to build a long term coffee alliance. I recently bought a decent espresso machine and was looking around for some good coffee beans to match its' capabilities. I went with the first choice suggested by Alexis, and I believe I found my coffee provider for the foreseeable future. It's not even that more pricier than the wholesale beans sold by Costco. And the difference in taste is night and day. Thank you for your kindness patience in explaining what I needed to know.
My very first visit to the store was delightful. Lauren was friendly and knowledgeable. Really helpful! Got the filters I needed plus I'm trying a new coffee from a local roaster.
As a coffee noob I really didn't know what I was looking for. The person at the counter owner? was very helpful in helping me find some locally roasted beans that wouldn't be too oily for my new super automatic coffee machine. Her recommendation was spot-on. I'll definitely be back to try some different brands. Thanks for the help!
I discovered this place through a support local group and I can't believe I have never been or ordered from here before!! There are so many coffees and teas! Something for everyone. I'm keto so dessert style teas and coffees are my treat. Lauren helped me pick out some amazing teas and my new favourite coffee. As a bonus the Pluck and TeaPigs are Canadian!! It's supporting a local small business and also a Canandian manufacturer. If those aren't your thing she offers endless brands and choices from everywhere. I highly recommend giving this place a try. The pics are of my first haul from here and the coffee and tea I made : PS. If you like Baileys in your coffee try The Nutty Irishman. It's like hazelnut coffee with caramel and Baileys in it.
This place was nasty. I ordered a latte and they gave me an americana- how dare they!!!! i wanted to have a coffee before i went to work at Our Lasy of Fatima School, yet this coffee was not strong enough for me to handle my job today. Never again, so not recommend
I purchased a milk frothed from here in late August and a few months later it stopped working. I called the company that it came from assuming the store couldn’t do anything for me since it’s been several months but the company couldn’t really do much. I regularly purchase my nespresso pods here so when I went in one day I mentioned this to the individual working the situation with the frothier I bought a while back. She took down my number and said she would let the owner know. The owner called me and told me she would contact the rep of the company this milk frothier came from she just needed the serial number of the one I had. I said I would send it to her later but I got caught up and never got around to it. She called me back to follow and a few days later to get that serial number. I was so pleased that she went out of her way to follow up. She got the company to send me a brand new frothier. I was so pleased with her service and care. It is so rare to see anyone care these days about customer service and this owner really went above and beyond to ensure that my experience there was good and an issue was resolved. She really didn’t have to do any of that and I would’ve understood nothing could be done but she didn’t. She went the extra mile and I will always support this business because of that.
The owner gave me tips and tricks to create a Christmas gift basket. She even gave me some extra supplies that would help build it. Next time I will just go to her to make the basket. Her baskets are beautiful and fun. This is definitely the place to go for fun gift ideas!
Convenient location and great selection! I wish they had more sales but other than that I love the store & options available : *Since I can’t reply I’ll add my suggestion here* Personally, we have a Nespresso Vertuo machine, and although I am not expecting those pods to go on sale, I’d love to see more sale on the syrups/sauces as they go so well with the pods!
I called the store to personally thank Alexis for the lovely personal note and for getting my order ready and shipped. She was polite and pleasant to speak with. I was impressed with the service, as I ordered Monday afternoon and received my order by Wednesday at noon. Great job!
Have driven past this gem for a few years. Finally stopped in and ended up leaving with a mixture of loose leaf teas, coffee, snacks and samples! The store has so much variety and everything purchased tastes amazing. The key to the success of this place is definitely Lauren and the passion you can hear from her when she talks about all the products in her store. Will definitely be back!
