"Established in 1983, the Jardin Lee was the very first Chinese restaurant to open its doors in Saint-Sauveur.Here is its story...Born in Hong Kong, Sammy Chan and his wife, Shelley Lee, came to Canada in the 70’s. Falling in love with Saint Sauveur, they decided to settle there. However, they were faced with a myriad of challenges. Both were in their early twenties, spoke no French, and spoke only a smattering of English. Sammy, who previously worked in a jewellery store, decided to embark on a career change to the cuisine... with success!"

Great staff and good price in a small quiet town and I like that they have a wall of fame to show that the previous prime minister of canada that visited this restaurant
Having moved in the area, this is the third place I have tried for Chinese food and my favourite by far. I ordered a spring roll, the ginger beef, and the shrimp and cashew dish - each item was very good and prepared well, not over salted, and I feel healthy after my meal. Good quality. Also, the customer service was excellent and the owners were very nice. Thank you for a lovely meal.
Have been a few times and experience is never consistent. Food today was mediocre...got the impression that the fried rice was fried, fried, and re-fried...the egg roll was very deeply fried so suspect it had been dunked a few times. Spring rolls were very greasy. The garlic ribs were tasty and tender, but lots of fat to discard with the bones. Went in really hungry and quickly lost my appetite. Service was courteous and prompt.
The waitress was sighing and looked distraught over having too many orders. It was freezing cold. I asked her to turn up the heat, I watched in horror as she pretended to turn it up. Feeling sick after being there. Will not go back ever.
I was well greated when i came in and the service was fast. I know it might sound like a classic for Canadians but the fried pork won tons were amazing. Tasted great and extremely crunchy. As for the General Tao it was slightly spicy while not being too sweet. And the batter was crunchy while the chicken was soft. All of it was washed down with a nice cold Tsing Tao chinese beer. Overall good food and good service for a good price.
Credit where credit is due , a fantastic restaurant and some of the best Chinese food we have experienced and coming from the U.K. That is a real compliment! But that's not where it stops the lady owner was so attentive and polite and s joy to talk to, she really wanted to make sure we enjoyed our meal and helped us get a little something of what we are used to as Chinese food in the U.K. And Canada can be somewhat different ...Nothing was to much trouble and I will say here and now a trip to Saint Sauveur is an incomplete one with out a trip to this amazing restaurant....On a closing note the owner told us all about how she has had the restaurant for over 35 years and has more in the area , that itself tells a winning formula !
Very welcoming and super friendly staff. Food was very good and fresh. I recommend trying the specials they are unique and very tasty. Will go back for sure :
This restaurant is an absolute JOKE. My wife and I ordered a "meal for 2" from their "Table d'hote" which consisted of 1 Wanton soup, 2 a Spring Roll, 3 Beef a l'orange + General Tao + Mixed Vegetables, 4 Steamed Rice, and 5 Fortune Cookies. Here is the quality assessment: 1 The dumplings in the Wanton Soup were vastly OVER-COOKED. 2 The Spring Rolls were drenched in OIL. 3 The Beef a l'orange was only FRIED BATTER containing NO BEEF. 4 The General Tao was only FRIED BATTER containing NO CHICKEN. 5 The Mixed Vegetable platter was simply AVERAGE. 6 The Steamed Rice was LUMPY and DRY. 7 I declined the Fortune Cookies. I actually left cut-open pieces of "Beef a l'orange" and "General Tao" in my plate and challenged the waitress to find any traces of actual MEAT. She was NOT able to find any! My wife and I literally threw away CDN$62.00 with this dining disaster. In conclusion: - The staff is friendly. - The ambiance is warm and comfortable. - The food is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. If permitted, I would have given this restaurant ZERO STARS!
Food was ok, lady serving was kinda out of it messed up my take out order 2 times had to come back twice as they gave us someone else’s order we don’t eat meat so had to drive all the way back after driving all the way home. I said why didn’t you call me? She said she did but I’m assuming she called a different order. Get it together!
We waited over an hour for our food. The owner and the waitress kept arguing in front of customers. Food was mediocre.
