Wow, the delicious aromas greet you as you walk in the door to Jamrock Irie Jerk. I had placed my order online in advance, and everything was getting packed up hot and fresh for me as I arrived. We enjoyed a feast of goat curry, chicken roti and jerk chicken wrap. If you like it spicy, this is the place to get your tastebuds tingling! Portion sizes are generous for a reasonable price.
Overall the food was okay. The prices are pricey for me.I did appreciate the oxtail because I did ask for oxtail gravy. The amount of chicken I got for a 15 dollar meal Would I go back to try again maybe. Grades of the meal out of 5 Rice - 3.5 Oxtail - 5 Fried chicken- 3.5 Coleslaw - 3.5
The oaxtail was delicious, rice and peas with those big juicy peas and some sliced carrots.. Gravy is perfect I always get my rice drowned in it, normally ask for spicy gravy but forgot this time and turned out to be just the right amount of spice. If you’re in Niagara it’s worth a little detour to eat good food.
I had the curry goat and jerk chicken. I paid an extra $4.50 for curry goat. Overall everything was delicious, plenty of rice in it. Just wish they gave a little more meat for the price which was $21.50ish tax included
Although their food is tasty, the prices seem to keep going up and the quantity seem to be going down. Today was the smallest oxtail that I've ever received from them, and unfortunately after spending $30 on an oxtail and some dumplings I cannot return. I understand that the cost of food and everything is going up, but spending 30 dollars for what I paid is a bit much. Best of luck in the future.
Everything was delicious, not too spicy just the right amount of heat. We ordered jerk chicken, curry chicken, chicken roti and Jamaican patty. Everything was seasoned to perfection. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the terrific meal !
Food was good but the teenage guy in front was rude and disrespectful. Would not explain the menu items just looked down on his phone and looked annoyed as if I was wasting his time. Made me stand there and wait for 15 mins while the food was on the window sill getting cold. I Had to point out my food was there and he finally put down his phone and very rudely handed me my food. Decent food but not worth the service you receive.
I was very happy to discover this place after moving from Toronto. The jerk chicken is great, the spice level is amazing. Just wish I got more gravy
Order a patty cuz you can mess it up but they went in the back for it wait was about 3 mins patty was soggy made in the microwave. You can’t be serious and call yourself Jamaican and put patty in microwave SMFH . First and definitely my last!
Never again. Bought jerk chicken and curried goat and fish and felt like I just threw away all my money. The jerk chicken had no smokey taste it was just pure pepper. We went and asked for a refund but they gave use two pieces of fried chicken that was cold and stale. We had to throw it all away. These Jamaicans would rather lose customers than to refund our money. They are the meanest people on the planet. Terrible Jamaicans. RESPONSE TO YOUR RESPONSE Do you forget that we called before we came back in the restaurant for the refund and on the phone you asked if we started eating it saying if we did you cannot refund? Anyway you owe it to your customers warn them that your food is extremely hot and a wise person would make mild for people who cannot handle the excessive harshness. Recently we spent $188 at Red Lobsters and in short we experienced negative effects and were fully refunded. Same thing happened in Mississauga at Moxies we were pampered and the desert were on them and all happened is that they did not take the order properly. All I am saying is put your customers first. My apology for letting our emotions get the better of us and threw the food away.We are sorry for that.
