Driving from Alaska to Mexico, my wife had been craving breakfast food, and we were blessed enough to have Jam’s pop up on our google maps when we neared Calgary. What a cool place. Artwork, cool vibes, friendly staff and locally sourced and easy to find: all great…..but the food is where it’s at! I had the chicken and waffles and my wife had a pancake with a half order off eggs Benedict. Everything was amazing! Get the spicy maple butter with your chicken, it’s awesome. I’m addition, I was able to lose to my wife in hangman and tic-tac-toe with dry erase markers right on the table. : Not sure when or if we’ll ever be near here again, but if we are this will be our breakfast stop. Enjoy!
4 words: have the Chicken and Waffles. The waffles are sweet, delicious and flavourful with the consistency of a cloud. Chicken looks a bit interesting but it tastes good. It is juicy and fresh. The only con is that service is a little slow And tables are a bit uncomfortable.
We had a nice lunch at Jams. Prices are reasonable. The one server was pretty busy but she managed to keep the water coming. The burger was pretty good - not a burger that fills you up but two very thin smashed patties that add up to 1/4 but don’t expect a juicy burger, because they’re so thin, decent sauce and ketchup leather which I liked more than I thought I would. Bun was fresh. Onions were kind of concentrated in the centre of the burger, would have been better spread out as they were diced quite large. Mac and cheese needed a bit more salt or flavour but I liked that the noodles weren’t mushy. Chips were good and plenty and my mom really liked the hollandaise sauce on her benny. Wife liked her chicken club but took one piece of bread off as that’s more her style. Cool environment. Nice to know everything is fresh and local.
GF wanted to try chicken and waffles for some reason. Seems strange to me but we both agreed they were delicious. Staff was great too and I’ll be back to try something else. Don’t know if I would do the c&w again because I wasn’t really hungry until dinner, it was almost the size of the plate. The spicy butter stuff was good too.
Stopped in for breakfast today, driving back to Calgary from Olds. Fantastic food, the best hash-browns I have ever eaten. The place was busy, but service was timely, friendly and attentive. One of the best breakfasts around, highly recommend≥
The food is great. Unique flavours and unique sauces. All is homemade, which is wonderful. You can also buy the sauces and drizzles. The beef patties were delicious and very different from other places. The waitress was welcoming and super nice. I would say one thing can be adjusted is the seating arrangement to create a nicer atmosphere.
Jams is my favourite breakfast restaurant in Airdrie, hands down. The food is delicious, the staff are lovely, and they feature local artists and artisans. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out! Highly recommend the fried chicken, and make sure to take home a jar of jam.
Jam’s was definitely good. We had the half order of eggs benedict, a Mini McDowell egg sandwich with a side of french toast, and a basic breakfasts of poached eggs. The eggs benedict was good, it was not too covered with hollandaise sauce which was nice. The poached eggs were cooked well. The egg sandwich was okay, it could’ve used more mayo but it was much better with the hot sauce they provided. The hash browns were different- I found they had a different flavour than I had expected, so I found them to be okay. As for jams, we had raspberry and pineapple and they were both good. Solid spot for breakfast or lunch.
Waitress was very friendly and took our celiac concerns seriously. Portions were just right, pictured is the double banana chocolate French toast which was excellent. They were very busy so go as early as you can or call ahead. The washrooms were clean, well maintained, and non-gendered! The Lord Bergamot tea was excellent, and they had great options for other teas as well. We'll definitely be back! Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free options; separate toaster for GF breads.
Driving by Airdrie did a google search for breakfast place; so happy Jams came up. What a great place with amazing food. Excellent prices for the freshest quality of food. We will be stopping in every time we go thru
