A great place for a family dinner or a date that overlooks the river. Food was good. Unfortunately I got food poisoning after eating here and I don't know what from (either their Caesar salad or Alfredo pasta). Crazy enough, the food was good at the time so if I had to come back again, I will. I'll just avoid those 2 things.

The food was amazing and the view on the water was beautiful, unfortunately those are the only positives I have to say. Our waiter was very polite, but not very prompt with our orders/drink refills. When dinner came, he accidentally spilled very hot sauce on my husband, staining his clothes and burning his leg. We did get an apology, but after that we saw our waiter maybe twice. He definitely wanted us to leave and forgot to bring food and drinks we had ordered after the "incident". It made for an unpleasant experience.

Stopped in on a Thursday night for a quick 6th anniversary dinner. Food was delicious and the prime special a great value. Prompt service and delicious Old Fashioned drinks!

The food and service was great. But at one point we had 7 flies on our table. They were non stop from the moment we sat down. One of them even got stuck in the ranch.

Food was good. I asked to bring children's food right away and they did. I tried to order prime rib on saturday night, but they didn't have it, even though it was advertised as the special. They also ran out of the creamy vegetable soup and my father in law had to settle for something else. We were a party of 9 and waitresses were very nice. Atmosphere was nice had a view of the river. Refills on drinks was prompt. Food prices was average and presentation was acceptable. We visited on 9/2/17 around 7:30 pm. Very busy place in front and outside. Overall 3 star raring due to poor inventory ordering. I would recommend Jake's to friends as Menomonie is over crowded with bars for the college hoodlums. Go packers!
