Terrible Chinese food. It might have worked well in Stoufville back in 1974 when Texas Chainsaw Massarce came out. Attached is a picture of shrimp dumplings. Which is more of a wonton and 10 cents worth of shrimp stuffed. The chicken fried rice is worse than minute rice from the dollarama.
First, The chili chicken was fraud. Dry , chili flakes , ZERO wet sauce. It was 100% Dry chicken. This is not chili chicken that's in the photo on the wall! I would of taken a photo myself if I didn't throw it out after a few bites I was so grossed out. The place is very dirty.. The front looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years, windows are filthy and when I sat down to eat there were 3 spiders crawling.. I would of got a photo if I wasn't so grossed out I just left. If they can't keep the basics clean.. Imagine everything else!
I honestly wish I took a picture of the food but it was so bland and tasteless I couldn't even finish it. I ordered the Chili Chicken for myself and the Black Bean Beef for my coworker. The Chili chicken was literally a take-out container full of rice, served with 3 pieces of plastic tasting brocoli and what tasted like heavily breaded chicken nuggets with hot peppers beside the meat. As for the Black Bean Beef, it was essentially a container full of onions and some peppers, and the occasional piece of beef... I was honestly appalled by the food, I will never return. I know this review may be harsh but I always read reviews before trying places and I hope that whoever reads this will take my advice; I would drive 5 minutes down Hwy48 to Li Dynasty to get food that tastes 10 times better at the same price.
I can talk extensively about how this establishment is extremely run down and the potential hygiene concerns but this review is about a different experience. I’ve only gone to this establishment twice because I recently moved to Stouffville and there went to many Chinese food options to pick from. On my second visit I arrived 30 min to close and placed my order for pick up, paid for it and was sitting down on on a chair waiting for my food to be cooked. When I got up to grab my order I left my wallet on the chair next to the one I was sitting on by accident. To make matters worse I just pulled out a $1200.00 to pay for a repair on my truck as I was planning on seeing my mechanic the following morning. The restaurant closed and I was the last customer served, so I figured this should be an easy fix. I will arrive tomorrow right when they open and grab my wallet. When I arrived it was the same owner who served me the night before. I explained to her I left my wallet here yesterday and it’s not on the chair I left it on so you must have found it. She responded saying she never seen a wallet left behind and she doesn’t know what I’m talking about and maybe another customer came in right after me and found it. I respond by saying hey I was the last customer in the store and than I saw you lock up, so that story doesn’t make sense. What the store owner didn’t know was that I have the Tile tracking app in my wallet. Not only did my phone show me that my wallet was in the restaurant when I hit a button it started ringing. Once my wallet starts ringing this poor ladies face looked like she just seen a ghost. I tell her hey that sound is my wallet and it sounds like it’s coming from behind the counter your standing behind. She quickly shuffles a few things and pulls out my wallet, dumbfounded as if she didn’t know who put it there. I open my wallet and you guessed it all my money is gone. I ask her about my money in my wallet she begins to gesture that she doesn’t speak English to well and that I need to speak to her son. After going back and forth with her for a bit, I walk out the store infuriated. She never had intentions of giving me back my wallet ever! She got caught red handed being a thief and because it was so obvious she had know choice but to triple down on her story that she didn’t know what happened and someone must have turned in the wallet after taking the money etc. Life always balances it self out, so I’m sure Karma will give her a fair share, but it’s extremely saddening to see this side of humanity. P.s the food wasn’t that great either.
Placed order for dilivery staff on the phone seem nice and it showed up moderitly quickly. ...how ever my shanghai noodle were vary over done and not good.. I'm sad to say the bater on the chickin balls was over cooked and way to think and the fried rise was vary tasteless I may try it agian but I'm not really sure:
I decided after reading reviews to order from jades for my daughter's first xperience with Chinese food, and I don't regret it one bit. Staff was friendly and fast and the food was so good. The chicken balls are huge. I will most definitely be going back. What a great first experience
food had absolutely no flavour, my wonton soups meet was undercooked, they forgot to make our low mein, as well as shrimp was not friend long enough the dough was still dough. The spring rolls were horrible, honestly everything was absolutely horrible, I would never recommend this place ever.
The food sold here is good but the general appearance is well below standard. A fresh paint job and a decent set of chairs to sit in while waiting for your take out order would definitely benefit this take out restaurant.
Friendly staff & quick service but food flavours didn't mix well at all. I got pineapple chicken expecting it to be sweet but it was overly salty and we didn't enjoy the taste of the sauce at all....strange flavours
GREAT food and very nice service too! I try to come here once every month at least and I'm never disappointed well, except for Tuesdays because they're closed - and I always forget that until I try to order, but everyone needs a day off sometimes!
