We ordered takeout tonight, and my dinner was inedible. I ordered the chicken caesar wrap. The lettuce in the wrap was actually rotting! I unwrapped the entire thing, to see if all of the lettuce was the same and it was. So disappointing, as we live outside of town and going back was not an option. When I called, the chef said it was totally his fault, that he didn’t notice “just grabbed the lettuce out of the bag and didn’t see it”. He said he would make a note in the till and my next one would be no charge. No thank you…
We had a really fantastic server. She was great about seating us and asking if we needed anything else. She was also had conversations with us about the area. The food was amazing. Had garlic bread with cheese and bacon as an appetizers, the the Hot Chicken sandwich and my mom had the clubhouse. Both meals were perfect and there was lots of it. Also they followed the Co-vid measures as well.
I always went to Jacks but I must say I was very disappointed the last visit. I took friends who just mived here because I loved Jacks but this time the restaurant was filthy and smelled like backed up sewer. I really hope the owner cleans up the restaurant and a fresh paint job would do wonders. I do really like the food here and the staff are great!
Friendly and prompt service. The fries were crisp and not oily, with my bacon cheese burger that I forgot to take a photo of. Yummy beans and coleslaw too.
Best fish and chips with crunchy perfect batter, generous portions, price is fair and the friendly staff make you feel so welcome that this is now not only our must stop on the way but our destination. We got the chowder soup, the captain special and the ribs. They also have a kids menu. We got warm rice pudding with cream and cinnamon on top and vanilla ice cream. Everything was so yummy that we'll for sure go back.
The clam chowder is very good! Not very fishy, just how I like it! Pulled pork was amazing! Sauce is very flavourful and pork was super tender!!!!! Battered Shrimp were amazing too! Good size shrimp and good sauce for it!
Out for Sunday drive to Lakefield. On our way home we stopped for lunch at Jack's Family restaurant in Norwood! We're welcomed right away. Seated insidecooler. Friendly quick service in nicely decorated atmosphere. I had salad...quite good & filling. My husband had senior fish & chip special wow included soup, another side & drink for a great price Small town feel...so appreciated. Stop by for a delicious meal & homey atmosphere Kudos...CJ & DW
Great spot. Just had a perfect lunch with amazing service.
Stopped for lunch along the way. Service was good and friendly. Had a burger and onion rings. Was good. No complaints. Would stop again in my travels.
Hi, I eat at your restaurant often and always have the fish and chips which are normally fantastic but I just had my husband pick me up some and it was the worst meal I have had The fries were old and really crispy they must have been left over from lunch the coleslaw as well the fish was edible but far from great I was really looking forward to it but was so disappointed I hope this is not going to be the quality of Jack's food is the future
