Very nice, neat, clean and spacious place. We really enjoyed our time at this location. The food was tasty, and our waitress was courteous and pleasant. Nothing negative about this experience, but, I would like to share couple of observations; the portions could be a bit more generous with respect to price compared to other competitors around, and it would be great to expand the menu and include more exciting items. I will be back again!nnA take out experience:nWe're regulars at this place, last weekend I dropped by to order for take out. I was directed to the bar to see the menu and place the order. I can say that the whole service experience then is way below the one we're used to when dining in unfortunately. The gentleman who took and delivered the order was rushing us while trying to socialize with others. At the end, got home and surely, our order was missing a side item.
The only reason this place got two stars is because we had outstanding service by our server CAT.nnJack Astors used to be a great place. Much has changed over the years. The prices are outrageous for the food quality and especially the portions.nnThe bow tie Chicken pasta used to be amazing. Now it's $25 for about 70g of pasta with. Bland sauce in a shallow bowl with chicken on it. There's no sprinkled Asiago... it's parmesan.nnWe ordered nachos to start. They were disgusting and incredibly salty. The server told us that the chips come naturally salty but she did take them back and get us better ones. The first batch was as if someone emptied a bag of salt in it, even our kids couldn't stomach it.nnMy chicken sandwich was ok, not great, no better than a mcChickem to be honest.nn$11.50 for a Stella Beer.nnThis place has gone downhill, and no wonder it's not busy. The franchise has overpriced mediocre food and cut portions, and it's just not worth it. If it was good quality, it would e worth the new pricing. But at this quality and pricing, save your money go somewhere worth your money.nnAgain, Cat was Ana amazing server and the only positive from this dinner.
Spent our anniversary / birthday / Mother's Day lunch at Jack Astors. Always a great experience. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Our waiter, Eric? was so great. Even surprised us with a brownie bite with 3 sparklers. Nice way to end the weekend.
We came to Jack Astors in Burlington and Danny served us, we requested a watermelon margarita which he custom made for us as it was not a menu item. Best watermelon margarita we’ve ever had! Better than the one we tried in Toronto. Dan is amazing and we’ll always come back for him and the delicious jack’s food!
We had a great time at Jack Astors. Lori was very quick and efficient and the food was great! We love pan bread
