omg the food was absolutely hitting everything my bsf & i ordered was so yummy. we originally planned to get a different appetizer, but since they had a special christmas menu, we went with the lobster fries & it ended up being the BEST decision ever. they tasted delicious!! i honestly wish they’d keep them on the menu year round. + the christmas decorations were beautiful too & made the whole experience even better
I did not enjoy it. Dinner there was a tremendous regret. The appetizers were mediocre, and ironically the best part. I got steak frites and the steak tasted strange/old, no sides, over salted fries and cheap sauces. The service was slow and restaurant was dirty. Never going back there. The server and manger seemed kind. The keg is much better, which explains why the restaurant was empty and seems dead/ shutdown from the highway. Best of luck since I do not see this place staying open much longer because of the food. Do not believe or trust the fabricated Goole reviews. My partner had the chicken pasta which was dry and tasted like plastic. The only good part was the nachos, however, they cheaped out on the ground beef. I wish I could give the food a negative review, truly please do not go here.
Fantastic experience all around! The entire staff was so friendly and enthusiastic, despite it being almost closing time when I was there. I was taken care of by Danny as well as another server whose name I unfortunately can't remember, but she and Danny were absolutely fantastic. They were full of great recommendations, in addition to being really fun and outgoing. You can tell they care about their customers and seem to really enjoy taking care of them. One of the great things about Jack Astor's is that it's a nice restaurant that doesn't take itself too seriously. There's a lot of humor in the decor, and the sense of humor carries over to the staff as well. There was a lot of laughter from everyone, and it made a nice meal just that much better. The restaurant was also festively decorated for the holidays.nnAs for food, Danny recommended the chicken parmigiana and the sticky toffee pudding. Both were amazing! I wish we had Jack Astor's in the US!
Had an amazing experience at Jack Astor’s, and a big shoutout to our server Brianna! She was super friendly, attentive, and brought such a positive vibe the whole time. Our drinks and food came out perfectly, and she always made sure we were good without being overbearing. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers.nnAlso want to appreciate the manager—always professional, welcoming, and clearly supportive of the staff. It really shows in the overall service and atmosphere. Great food, great vibes, and top-tier service. Definitely coming back!
I searched for restaurants decorated for Christmas and Jack Astor’s came up. I checked out the menu, festive drinks, etc. and wasn’t disappointed. So Friday, December 5th, my very great friend, my youngest sister went here for Christmas cheer. Indoor was incredible, lit up with an amazing variety of Christmas decor, a lot old school, which I love brings back memories from my childhood. Cudos to the staff for a fantastic display. Waitstaff had Christmas hats, sweaters on, loved that.nnWe were immediately welcomed by a hostess who showed us to our table. Our waitress Aubrey, brought our menus. She’s so welcoming as well, very sweet, personable, knowledgeable about the food and festive drinks plus very attentive. Aubrey is a definite asset to Jack Astor’s 10/10!!! Thank you Aubrey you made our day, we had an amazing time.nnAubrey brought our water. After perusing the food/festive drinks menus we were ready to order.nnI decided on crispy battered fish tacos with shredded cabbage, green onions, cilantro, pico de gallo, chipotle aioli. Crunchy very light, so very delicious.nnMy sis had chicken finger, fries and a dip. She liked it.nnMy friend ordered Poutine - fries, cheese, lobster, bacon, scallions. She loved, it was delectable.nnI had a Nakatomi Tower: Polar Ice vodka, Kahlúa, chocolate milk, whipped cream, chocolate sauce. My gosh, what a very delicious, chocolaty, heavenly festive drink.nnMy sis had a Sleigh My Name: Olmeca AltosnTequila, spiced pumpkin, apple cider, lemon, almond syrup, brown sugar with a tanjin rum.nShe said it was strong but she liked it.nnDeborah, who I think is a Manager, I apologize if I got that wrong, approached our table to welcome us, see how the food was, have a chat. She as well, was very attentive, a wonderful, sweet girl. Another big asset to Jack Astor’s. Thank you Deborah you as well made our day. 10/10nnOverall a definite must for a very festive lunch/dinner, or anytime of the year, great selection of food, drinks, great service. So much fun with staff. Thank you. We’ll be back in the New Year.nnVERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
