Arrived at 12:10 for a late night bite after going to Dave and Busters for the first time. The atmosphere at Jack’s was warm and inviting. The walls lined with very cool memorabilia; magazines, skateboards, patio string lights, superheroes in frames. I especially thought that the lighting fixtures hanging from paintings were a very cool way to repurpose old artwork!nnOur server, Chantel, was polite and very kind. It was our first time here, so we needed a few extra minutes with the menu. For drinks, we settled with the Blue Raspberry Lemonade and the Triple Play Fishbowl. I drank the bowl, it was a nice balance of sweetness and you could hardly taste the alcohol. My boyfriend’s drink, the raspberry lemonade, was very tart, kind of like a warhead. Either way, he enjoyed it.nnEverything was great until the food arrived. We ordered some starters to share. Specifically the Garlic Panbread with cheese, the beer cheese dip and the poutine which we added bacon to. The beer cheese dip was okay. The texture was a little grainy, which is not what I’m used to when ordering beer cheese dip at other restaurants. When we tried the poutine, the gravy was very thin and runny. It all pooled to the bottom of the dish. Lastly, the garlic pan bread… which I was really looking forward to. I love garlic. I love garlic bread too. But oh my god, this garlic bread had enough garlic on it to kill off a horde of vampires. It was also very very greasy.nnI’d definitely come back, but will definitely be trying other food items instead of these.
Our family was seated and drink menus were taken. After 20 minutes, our food order was taken. The food arrived and it was alright. Nothing to brag about. The server did not check on use throughout and after I piled my party's plates, we had to wait for another 20 minutes staring at them before being asked if we were finished. Definitely not as good as it used to be. Customer service was terrible and bathrooms were absolutely disgusting...toilet paper on seats, unflushed toilets, toilet paper all over the floors, soap less dispensers. Will definitely find somewhere else to eat next time.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jack Astors with my family. And although we have been to this location dozens of times , I must say, it was an experience beyond exceptional. From the moment we sat at our table we were greeted with warmth and professionalism.nnOur Server SAL! Was beyond AMAZING.nnHe is literally the reason why I am taking the time to write this review.nnNot only was he highly knowledgeable about the menu and drinks but he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.nnWe have been to some the most high end restaurants in the city, and never had we experienced such excellent service.nnThe attention to detail and genuine care for us was evident throughout our entire meal.nIn addition to the exceptional service, the new Reno’s look great! I def recommend sitting at the bar, request Sal if he’s around!
I always come back to Best Buy for my shopping because of Armin. He explains everything so well and makes the shopping experience enjoyable. Whenever I need something, I know I can count on Armin to guide me to the best options, which is why I keep returning to this store.
We went here after a work retreat. It was very good and it seems like the menu has been changed for the better. Keep up the good work!
