Some of the best tacos I've had in CT. The steak had a very good taste. You could tell all the ingredients were fresh. Great service very friendly. Good prices as well.
Great taste and lots of food. Great place for tacos if longwharf trucks are packed and with out the wait time.
Just went to the food truck, burnt is really a good flavor, not sure why they thought that burning the chicken on the torta would be a good idea, regardless. We got tacos as well, not seasoned, and kind of had a bland taste. Lucky for anyone visiting this area, you have other options. Don’t waste your time with this one
Be careful coming to this place to eat since they try to scam you because if you don’t pay attention to how much they’re charging you they will charge you extra. For example, they will try to charge you $20 for an order that costs $10. The excuse that they give all the time is that they got confused and they’re very sorry. Which they are not since they have tried several times to charge me extra. Also when they get your order wrong they try to blame you.
I wasnt it pleased. I came down to the food trucks on Long Wharf around 6:20 it was 630 by the time I got to the front of the line to order. I thought the food trucks were open until 7:00 p.m. The lady did take my order but she rushed me off. I asked her if they had pincho she said '"no but hurry up what do you want we're closing". So that was that ...I ended up ordering the chicken quesadillas with the side of beans & rice. Maybe I was looking for a different type of beans and rice but that wasn't it. The food tasted mushy as if it wasn't cooked enough I didn't really care for it I had a funny stomach after.
Best tacos I have ever tried
The first time I tried this food truck, I had a cemita, it was absolutely delicious. It had all the key ingredients beans, chipotles, quesillo, and papalo. My fiancé had never tried one before and me being from Puebla Mexico I knew exactly what I was eating. Sadly today, we came to get one and it was not what I had last time, it only had picadillo and chicken. : please put the key ingredients so I can come back. Thank you!
Compared to another food truck I commonly order on Long Wharf, Ixtapa's tacos are average. Meat was a bit overcooked, dryed out, and lacking flavor. Could have been my luck. I'll stick to the trucks where I have a greater liking.
If i was able to rate this place a 0 I would ., there was no seasoning whatsoever , ordered asada alpastor and carnitas yet all of them seemed to taste similar .,wouldn’t recommend
Just left the food truck, which closes at 9:30 based on google and I didn’t get served-however a family of five places before...maybe it was skin or because the same language ..honestly I really enjoy there food, but how was I will never spend a dime with them!!!
