I had visited a fancy cake shop in Arizona and desperately wanted to find somewhere that had similar cakes. I discovered Mercato and my first cake was the birthday. I was ecstatic because it tasted almost the same as the expensive wedding cake shop in Arizona. Only that shop has raspberry in the middle, take note Mercato. Lol It was rich and flavorful but not too sweet. Very dense so a piece is quite filling.nnThen I tried the tiramisu. Amazing flavors!nnI got one for mother's Day not sure what it's called but it had some citrus filling.nnWe've tried various single slices as well.nnRecently I tried the velvet cake which has a lovely cheesecake type flavor inside.nnI am impressed by the quality ingredients and taste for a very reasonable price.nThis has now become our go to for cakes and I can't wait for my relatives in Arizona to try it.
Great pastry selections here.nnSecond visit of the Cafe.nnTiramisu cup was a bit dry. Was expecting the finger cookie be moisture.
Iced latte was $4.50 and was around 4 inches tall and to top it off it came with a paper straw. The vanilla cake was the worst i’ve ever had, it tasted like it was made last week with not flavour and I struggled to cut it with my spoon due to how dry and spongy it was. This was all after after I had to wait more than 5 minutes in the line just for one family in front of me.
Great time at Mercato!nnI had a Mocha and Tiramisu. Excellent staff and service.nnGreat variety of drinks and food.
What a fantastic place. They have an aisle full of different olive oils , meats , and cookies We went to get some baked goods , Nutella donuts , Nutella puff pastries, and triple chocolate conolli. We also got the focaccia with peppers. Reasonably priced and extremely helpful staff. Will definitely be back.
