IslandSkye Bed and Breakfast

Quiet, casual, yet upscale (the bathrooms, oh my!!), with beautiful views from big picture windows, describes the house. The bedrooms are pristine, spacious, actually bigger than in the photos, with every detail one might want, thought of by the owners. Paul and Val are gracious, warm, easy-going hosts, making one feel welcome. They have an amazing knowledge of the area which helped me get around. Paul is not only the master of the kitchen, he truly enjoys preparing a tasty, plentiful breakfast. I loved especially the garden areas out front and back, and the thoughtfulness displayed throughout. That included a coffee machine in the common guest area, so I can get my first cup in the morn and retreat back into my room. I shall return!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at IslandSkye Bed and Breakfast. The accommodations are spacious and modern (I would describe them as casually luxurious). The setting is spectacular, with its lovely house and beautiful gardens nestled into a lush country scene that boasts a lakeside view. The hosts are very hospitable, and highly responsive to their visitor's needs. The were excellent, with fresh, home made food, and local produce where available. As well, there is also no shortage of things to do in the surrounding area. I plan to return to IslandSkye in the very near future to rekindle the pleasure that I enjoyed during my first visit.

Where do i start! this was the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at! Val and Paul were so welcoming and friendly and helpful. They told us places to see and where to eat which all were great recommendations. the place is beautiful...all brand new which i really liked. But i think the best was the amazing food. NOt only do you get a gourmet 3 course breakfast with cappuccino/latte but appies and wine before dinner and home baked cookies or muffins are waiting for you when you come home to go to bed! And Paul even offered my husband a scotch one evening ( his favourite) Sitting outside in the garden with the firepit looking at the view was lovely. Oh and don't let me forget Val even held my 2 month old grandson while we had breakfast! I would highly recommed staying at the Islandskye to everyone who is heading to Cowichan bay. thank you again so much Paul and Val and look forward to seeing you again soon one day:)

A great stay at this B&B. The room (Garry Oak) was great and the breakfasts both days were delicious. Paul and Val were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable about the local area with great suggestions of things to do and places to eat (we particularly enjoyed the cidery!). Little things we weren't expecting made the stay very special.

My recent stay with girlfriends at this beautiful B&B was truly lovely. From the wonderfully appointed and spacious rooms to the fabulous views of the gardens. So nice to have a number of areas to sit outside and enjoy Val's beautiful handiwork.(the extensive gardens) Paul's breakfasts are really amazing and so filling I needed to skip lunch! We had terrific conversations with Val and Paul and will definitely be back.
