The poke bowl for Worcester, haven’t seen many outlets like this around. . . Ambience - Service - Quality - Quantity- . . I am yet to try the poke bowl. I got into this place saying the half of for softies between 2-5pm. They had two flavors of dole pineapple and mango you can mix them both into the Swirl. Cost $2.10. No toppings option. . . there is a lot of customers looks like repeat regulars the two staff seem to doing quite a good job handling the customers. . Shall the try the pole bowl soon.
This was my first time here and it was delicious! I wish the bowl was twice as large because it was that good. The pineapple dole whip was great. Clean place will definitely go back soon.
As soon as I walked in, I knew I'd made a mistake. I saw this place listed on a "top food spots in Worcester" post and decided to give it a try, but whoever was commenting on that Reddit post has clearly never had poke from anywhere, ever, before. The décor here looks like this a pediatrician's office, with a pirate theme that caters to families with kids. There was even a pirate movie playing on the TV. That doesn't bother me, but there clearly was no intent to pay homage to poke's roots the dish is from Hawai'i. It was the whitest poke spot I've ever seen. Well, anyway, I was there and hungry so I decided to order. I did like that the bowl came with 3 scoops of protein, and there was a tofu option in case someone doesn't want fish but came to a poke place anyway. They heaped on the toppings, and the bowl ended up huge and overflowing, which was fantastic. However, that couldn't change the fact that the ingredients just didn't taste good. The white rice was hard, and the mixed vegetables were cooked fajita-style, which just did not go with the flavors of the rest of the bowl at all. In fact, there were several Mexican-themed why would you do that at a poke place! sauces and toppings; to each their own, but I would stay as far away from those as possible as it overpowers the taste of the fish, which should be the actual star of the show. I absolutely hate food waste and always take home leftovers, but I really couldn't bring myself to finish or box the rest of my meal. I absolutely would not recommend this spot based on the quality of the food, let alone call it one of the "best" restaurants in Worcester. That being said, the employees were actually pretty great - they walked customers through each of the unique sauces and made recommendations for the most popular options. They also checked in as I ate, and offered me a small cup of soft serve when I was done eating. They were definitely the highlight of this place with the very clean bathroom coming in second as a notable plus of this restaurant. Vegetarian options: it's a make-your-own poke fish bowl spot, but there is a tofu protein option
Island Fin isn't fancy, but the food is good and reasonably priced. It's a pretty standard fast-casual sort of vibe Chipotle, but building a poke bowl, not a burrito bowl. It's a pretty cheap way to scratch the itch for a sushi-like meal. While my wife and I might spend $80 for sushi for 2, we can get poke for about $25 instead. The servings are pretty generous, so my wife and I usually split a bowl, and then indulge in a couple of the "whips", which are fruity frozen-yogurt-y sort of treats. The bowl is around $15, and then a few bucks each for dessert. It's tasty and reasonably priced. The restaurant is usually pretty quiet, but it's not exactly oozing ambiance not that it should be; I don't think it's trying and failing, it just knows what it is. Strong recommend. Parking: There's a large lot for the plaza. At dinner time, there's plenty of parking, though I'm not sure about lunch.
The best poké bowls! The selection is amazing and delicious. Not to mention that the staff are so friendly, patient, and helpful, they really make this such an awesome place.
Wonderful experience for someone with celiac disease looking for safe gluten free and soy free food. Parking: Big parking lot but there is reserved parking for the dentists office to the left of the restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp Dietary restrictions: I have celiac disease as well as a severe soy allergy and I was able to order a huge bowl of food with plenty of options and did not get sick. The manager extensively went over everything and was very knowledgeable about what they served and allergens.
My favorite Poké spot in Worcester! Ingredients are very fresh with lots of options for proteins, veggies, sauces & toppings. If it's your first time getting poké, it's like an Asian version of Subway. Met the owner one trip who gave us free samples of the Dole whip cup, which was delicious! Parking: Parking is super easy with multiple entry/exit points to the lot
I think this spot is dope. The staff is super helpful in assisting with bowl options and explaining choices there are many. And the ingredients always taste really fresh and delicious. Stop in and grab a poké bowl!
The price has thrown me off at first, but then when I got my food I realized it was well worth it. Amazing serving size, delicious and good customer service. And the icecream is great as well. Highly recommend
LOVE this place. The staff are all so friendly and great. The food is always fresh and delicious. My husband and I hit this spot at least once a week. Vegetarian options: Tofu is available as well as lots of seafood options if pescatarian!
