Great and fast service, clean place with convenient parking, I ordered dozens of meat pie and mini pizza, taste was great and always fresh, I will recommend the place and definitely will go back again.
Food made fresh and worth the wait. Still trying to get used to Canadian food prices. We paid $80 for 2 people. I stalked this place on google until we were able to visit Windsor. My hubby loves Shawarmas and I had the mixed Shawarma platter which was enough for two meals. Renovations or something is happening so the spot is very small. Best for pick-up, IMHO.
My first impression of this place was the lady behind the counter wasn’t very friendly. Usually when it’s my first time in a restaurant I ask what they recommend, she just kind of pointed at the menu. The food itself was great and the portion was huge and worth the price.
Food is delicious and tastes fresh. I've tried most of their menu and all was ok. Friendly staff and decent prices. I would recommend more cleaning measures and proper customer service.
Outstanding execution. Caveat: I’m a vegetarian, so I cannot speak to their meat. The falafel was made fresh and is among the best I’ve ever had. The pickles and salads are excellent. The hummus as well. Order ahead or plan to wait 20 minutes, as this is not a fast food joint. Dining options may be limited during covid, but the food is idea for takeout.
First review ever! Really good food! Had Falafel sandwich, Zaatar bread, cheese bread, spinach pie and fattoush salad. Every item has authentic taste. After Kuwait today I had something that good. Staff is also very nice and kind. Highly recommend!
I am so glad I found the Island Cafe! I had a falafel yesterday and it was amazing. It was big for someone my size, and I ate the whole thing. Couldn't stop!
First of all, this is their disgusting floor we paid for a ton of food and only received half. The food we got was gross. The salad vegetables were brown, the hummus tasted like dill pickles and the falafel had way too much baking soda. When I called about our missing food all they said was "oh, okay",not even an apology or an offer to replace what was missing!! Not to mention, half the people making food or coming out of the food prep area aren't wearing masks.
I recommend this place for all Lebanese people who like Manaqhesh. Especially people who love Zaatar, cheese,or meat. This location is in downtown Windsor. It is always crowded in weekdays. But not too busy on weekends. Go and try Lebanese food before running to work. The restaurant looks clean and well organized. But you cannot sit and eat inside as the employee's are following the rules and requirements. You can eat in your car in the parking lot of the restaurant or take the food with you. Employees speaks Lebanese, and English. The only issue is that you need to give them 15 minutes for your order, no matter if its small or big.
Always great fresh food been going here for years chicken shawarma is always good and also the cheese pie is always a classic
