My absolute favourite from Isabelle is the octopus. It was so tender and flavourful. Although it was listed as a main, I felt like it was a little small as a main. The tomahawk steak was cooked medium rare perfectly. It is listed as a shareable and I would say it can be shared as a main for 2 to 3 people. It is important to note that the steak takes about 40 mins to cook so it's a good idea to order the steak first and order apps to nibble on first. The feta dip was a little more citrus tasting to my liking, but the pita bread compliments the dip very well. Overall atmosphere was very nice and modern and the servers were very friendly and attentive.
We had brunch there with family. The view of the lake from where we were sitting was spectacular! Our server was very attentive and friendly. The shareables were excellent. Our picky daughter even liked the salad. Pita was warm and savoury. The main courses were a bit underwhelming. Perhaps the expectations were higher since we had such great appetizers. The environment was very relaxed and we had a wonderful time. Overall it's a beautiful place to have a good meal with great view.
I am writing this during the Taste of Burlington. Firstly this is a beautiful and bright restaurant. It is almost too beautiful! We were sat by the window with a wonderful view of Lake Ontario. Now, the food. Based on the menu it seemed like a pricey restaurant. We were glad to try it during Taste of Burlington. We treated ourselves to a few cocktails — espresso martini, Pink Pearle and Ginger Rush. All excellent. For the starter we tried the beet salad and the crispy sweet potato. The whipped feta in the beet salad was luxurious. For the main we had the beef cheek pasta. I believe this similar to the main menu. The bread crumbs added nice contrast to the dish. For dessert we had the pumpkin cheesecake and the olive oil cake. I was impressed by the creativity. The olive oil cake was surprisingly complex. I wasn’t sure what to expect due to the mixed reviews. However the service was very good. The restaurant is on the expensive side. Hard to say if the value is there not on a prix fixe menu. However I enjoyed our experience.
Went to Isabelle for brunch on a Saturday. The restaurant is located inside the main entrance of the hotel and up a set of stairs. It's bright with very elegant decor and nice lake views. The food was delicious the Labneh & pita was yummy! and the staff were friendly, but as some people have said, the service was very slow we ended up being there for over 3 hrs due to the slow service - so keep in mind if you're planning to go here and have somewhere to be after. Also, on weekends from 9-3 you can only order off the brunch menu for $45/per person there isn't an option to order off the all-day menu. They have a private room you can book for hosting functions that has beautiful lake views. There are a few parking lots nearby but those do fill up quickly on weekends.
Amazing customer service!!!! We got a table by the window with beautiful lakeview! The pita and dip is a must-try. The deep fried acorn squash is very delicious! We also tried the lobster spaghetti and it was so good!!! Will definitely come back!
Great ambiance and great service! Food was good but not overly great. We had the brunch and I must say you do get a lot of food and there’s a lot of choices for everyone. My fave was the shared plates, carrot hummus and the freshly baked pita was delish.
Service wise it was ok. Some staff are still very young. When I asked for some hot water for my mom, he asked how hot? I had to explain like boiling water for tea in a tea pot… he then said he’ll see what he can do. We had to wait an extremely long time for our mains to come out. The restaurant has beautiful views and the hostess will try to seat you with the best views even if it wasn’t requested which was super nice of them. Food was not bad but it seem like everything was sitting in a big pool of oil. It got a bit too much part way through the meal. I think this restaurant has a lot of potential and with time it’ll work out some of the issues.
This is definitely a place to checkout for a beautiful dining experience. The menu is refined and everything we had tasted amazing. The roasted cauliflower was a table favourite. The roasted lamb in grape leaves was tender be mindful that there are not actual rolled grape leaves, as we thought. But rather the lamb in wrapped in grape leaves and grapes placed as garnish. And the end of the meal the table received post cards and we had such a great time writing messages to friends and then having the resultant post them for us.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Isabelle. What a wonderful experience it was! The flavor combinations in every dish we tried were so unique, and the service was outstanding! Can’t wait to return again!
Extreme elegance Resturant, top notch from top to bottom, excellent service, hospitality, food were amazing, the chef is really had his signature on every dish. We went for my wife and son birthdays, really had good time, excellent presentation, excellent services, staff were very welcoming and friendly. Next time will try outside patio, it looks very inviting. As for price you pay as you expect for high end restaurant, I did not find it expensive as you pay for ambiance, quality food and service. For sure will go again.
