Do not move to Iroquois Falls or the Cochrane District if you ever want medical care.nnThere are no walk in clinics in the whole district. It's essentially 3rd world when it comes to medical care. I've been looking for a doctor for over a year and unable to access simple things such as blood tests, should I have a health concern there is no one to talk to. I've had to go to the ER to simply get asthma medication.nnWhen I asked how long it would take to get a doctor I was actually shown a stack of papers, and that I was at the very bottom of the pile. When I asked if I should look elsewhere for a doctor I was told that I am free to do so if I chose to no #&@#*&% #$&^, but what I was asking if it even made sense for me to wait for a doctor at this clinic. It was made VERY clear that I would not be getting a doctor at this clinic. Which meant I had been waiting in vain for at least a year on a sham list.nnWhen I asked what I should do, I was told I should go to the ER.nWhen I asked if I should go to the ER for everything, I was told if it was urgent.nnHow many years should I wait before something is urgent or I just drop dead from something that could have been treated had it been detected?nnWhen I asked if there was a walk in clinic anywhere, I was told maybe Timmins. Well there isn't one.nnMaybe it would be better if the receptionist at this clinic was honest from the start.nThere is no chance you'll get a doctor here.nMove to some place better. Some place with medical care. A place with culture, public transit, a grocery store with prices that aren't twice as much you'll find anywhere else.nnDo not move here.
I've been in Iroquois falls for 3 years now, I've signed paperwork to become a patient at the clinic 3 times, I've had 3 doctors and have not been able to see one. Not a good clinic and they even send me letters in the mail asking for money. Not a good health care system
