Story

Irish Hills is laid out and designed to present a challenge to every level of golfer. We have a spacious club house with full air conditioning throughout. This facility includes amenities that add to the comfort and relaxation of members and guests.

The club house is strategically located to overlook all finishing holes. The amenities include a large golfers lounge, a small banquet room and a four thousand square foot banquet hall for larger functions. A large balcony and the patio areas overlook the eighteenth green

It was a good place for an event for about 200 guests comfortably. Pardesi ladies' event for the celebration of International Women's Day at the Irish Golf Club brought my attention to this place. I never knew about this golf club until now. I would definitely recommend it. The parking isn't bad at all.
I'm a member at Irish hills. I love playing here the course is fun, welcoming to everyone and typically in decent shape. Although, they're missing a few of the nice to haves like ball washers, the tee boxes don't get rotated enough and the staff can be a bit unorganized at times. Chef Jen is one of the highlights of the course. She makes some amazing sandwiches and is one of the best things about playing at Irish.
Chef Jen is the best! We recently had a brunch for a baby shower and it was perfect! I arrived early and the room was all set up and looked beautiful. The buffet was served on time was hot and delicious. I would highly recommend Chef Jen a very talented and hardworking lady who along with her staff made our event perfect.
I booked the indoor simulator a month in advance for my boyfriends 33 birthday, when I had booked the girl was lovely on the phone , I booked for 15 people and told her I would call closer to the day to confirm the numbers ! When I called back the guy on the phone was very confused and said I had no booking! After telling him over and over that I book a month ago he finally said he could see it! I told him that we will have 12-15 people and he said the price was the same no matter what. Once I got there the girl kept telling me she was getting in trouble for the higher up’s for not booking us in as in event ! I told her if she really needs I will pay for it as an event but that this is very last minute to be changing their minds. She told me to not worry about it but continue to complain about us to her coworkers and wasn’t hiding it . Not just myself but my boyfriends whose birthday it was could hear everything ! It made us all feel rush and not comfortable! The simulator was awesome but I’m extremely disappointed on how they handle everything! Finally the manger got involved and he did his best to fix what the other employee did ! But still ended up paying more then what we had agreed on originally! If you are just going to play the simulator it is awesome but if you are booking and for a group of people I would recommend going anywhere else !
It was OK. 3 groups lined up at 1st tee. During Covid that seemed wrong. A golfer 2 holes away was wacking his ball 3 times through our path while we waited for him, which was not the facilities fault just part of my experience. The course yellow was tight in spots, but crossing in front of people teeing off to get to our next hole seemed dangerous, but the condition was pretty good.
Course was good, easy accessible from one hole to another. We did the blue course. The difficulty was ok, It was not that hard. Prices were good too. They have other courses too like Red & Yellow. So, they can accommodate many people at the same time. The place is around 10 mins. drive from Kanata IT park. So, easy accessible to people working in Technology. They can come to this place after there work. There carts were also in good shape and were easy to operate. Also they have store in the course from where u can buy golf related stuff like balls, etc.
Take a pass on this course. Opportunistic green fee charged due to Covid. If you would like to play on terrible greens that are longer than most fairways stop on by! Bring extra balls because the fairway is so long you will lose your balls. I have played this course the past two years and never seen it in worse shape. Very disappointing to someone who purchased a membership and was refused a refund. Very poor business acumen on all levels of personnel.
The facility is top notch and well maintained
Pros: - The course isn’t in bad shape Cons: - The driving range and putting green are not in great spots compared to where you start - Took almost 30 min to check in when the line had 4 people in it - Took another 30 min to get beer at the turn with a line of 2 people - Staff are new and don’t know what they are doing - The white tees are the same distance as the Green/Black tees at most courses Overall not the greatest experience. The course being in decent shape is enough for a few stars but I wouldn’t play here again, there’s much better courses in the Ottawa/Kanata area that are the same price.
we recently held a celebration of life for my father at Irish Hills and with 5 days notice they pulled everything together and it was perfect!
