IQ Dental - Terry McKay DMD

I have been a patient of Dr. McKay's for many years now.. Recently I broke a front lower tooth for the third time over as many years. Finally I realized that I needed a better solution to really fix it properly. So today I had a veneer and could not be happier. It makes such a difference when you can smile with confidence! Dr. McKay always takes time to explain everything to me, and I appreciate his caring manner. I am admittedly, a terrible patient, and he puts up with my issues kindly. I have total confidence in his practice, and his staff are always accommodating and could not be any nicer. If there were 10 stars I would give them gladly. Thanks to Dr. McKay and team for always going above and beyond.

Love Terry and the staff. They are always on time and very polite. My kids recently had fillings put in by Dr. Sheasby and they both had a good experience.

In the years that my family have been going to Terry, we have had nothing but exceptional service and more importantly, quality. We are greeted like family from Andrea, and the warmth and genuine interest in our well being continues into the treatment area. This office and its staff is a jewel for us here on the North Shore, and I think we would be hard pressed to see this level of excellence anywhere else.

I will give you the facts. I had a root canal done on the upper left side 3+years ago by Dr McKay. Recently I did bring to Dr McKay attention that the tooth was bothering me. He said I need a night guard. Without even checking the tooth. The same day I had a cavity filled on the opposite side, upper right side very back tooth. Dr Mckay went on vacation for a week. I was left in pain. Saw Dr McKay when he got back and he said I need night guard. When I said I didnt think that would help, Id been using one from the drug store, He said fine we will do a root canal. No Xray, nothing. He used the root canal as a scare tactic to get me to get me to buy a night guard. Sunday morning I was in so much pain I got into see another dentist, had an x ray and saw the filling sitting on the root. Xrays dont lie. I did need a root canal. I spoke with Andrea and told her how upset I was. I got a voice mail from Dr Mckay stating he would never do a filling that way and he would contact the new dentist and give them a piece of his mind !! How professional !!! My opinion, D Mckay is so arrogant that he couldn't admit he made a mistake. Another fact, this office does not follow the suggested prices by the dental association, they charge more. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST !!!!! If you would like to be charged a huge amount and be sold dental stuff you dont need then this is the dentist for you. If you would like to be ignored and have a sub par job with no explanations this is the dentist for you. If you would like to see a dentist that is rude when he is called on his mistakes, Dr Mc Kay is a perfect fit. Last but not least if youd like to have a dentist that closes shop and is always on holiday, leaving you hanging, I recommend Dr McKay. He did hire another dentist but hes just as rude and they have the same days off ?! Save your teeth and money, go else where.

Dr. McKay and his staff are incredible! I have been to see him for over ten years, and would recommend him to all who desire the best care for their oral hygiene. The staff are positive, caring, and warm professionals who are efficient and knowledgeable. Dr. McKay is a kind, patient-centered practitioner. He is considerate and listens to patients. He has all of the latest technology. I was in town for only a few days, but he made time to see me, and within a 2.5 hour visit I walked out with my crown made, cemented and fitted perfectly. He even provides his home number for emergencies. I appreciate Dr. McKay's approach to his work, I trust him; in fact I travel from California just to continue to see him for all of my oral hygiene care.
